"Townhouse in the Castle" Beautiful recently renovated 3 storey townhouse in peaceful street INSIDE the Castle walls. There is nothing quite like living inside the castle walls, 10 steps up from the busy world outside takes you into one of the most enchanting living castles you will ever see, left at the top of the steps & 30m along the narrow street brings you to our delightful little townhouse. Just steps from Ioannina lake & the quirky "old town" why would you want to stay anywhere else Our little townhouse in the castle is truly a unique experience. Why stay in a soul-less apartment in a high rise block when you can truly live like a local and wake up within the castle walls. Once owned by two Jewish brothers (a bookkeeper & a lamp maker in the 1940's) we have lovingly restored this house to its current glory & brought it back to life from near ruin. We love Ioannina, its our sanctuary & we hope it will certainly become yours. Fast wifi

The stay on this house felt more like home than my own. The house is right at the center of town very easy to find and it was exceptionally beautiful. In the mornings we took our coffee right by the window in the living room with the view of the castle. We tried the Antika coffee shop which was as good as expected and we had no issues with checking in as we had instructions before and inside the house. Everything was clean and all the amenities described were there. We would choose it again. Perfect for two people.
It was a very clean and easy to find place, in the heart of the town. It was obvious that the owners take care of the house and made us feel welcomed. The communication with the owners was easy and they were very helpful at any time. We would highly recommend this place and we would consider it for the next time.
Το κατάλυμα του Stuart και της Sam ήταν ένας άψογος και ζεστός χώρος που μας φιλοξένησε για τρεις ημέρες μεταξύ 2 και 5 Γενάρη του 2024.Το σπιτάκι ήταν άμεσα προσβάσιμο από τον δρόμο γύρω από το καστρο.Παρείχε πολλές ανέσεις για ένα οίκημα που αν και μικρό δεν έχει να ζηλέψει σε τίποτα σπίτια και ξενοδοχεία πολυτελείας.Ο οικοδεσπότης μας έδωσε αρκετές οδηγίες για τα πέριξ (πιθανούς προορισμούς για καφέ/φαγητό κλπ και ήταν ιδιαίτερα ευχάριστος και ευγενικός στην επικοινωνία. Τους ευχαριστούμε ιδιαιτέρως. Ευχαριστούμε επίσης και τον κύριο Περικλή από το δίπλα ξενοδοχείο για την πολύτιμη βοήθεια του. Παναγιώτης και Ειρήνη

Take a few steps out of the house & there are several little coffee shops/bars within the castle walls, mini market & several gift shops. Synagogue just 50m away & the Minaret & Ali Pasha Mosque/Museum is within the castle itself. This is THE BEST AREA to stay in Ioannina, it's right next to the "Old Jewish Quarter" with its stunning quirky winding cobbled streets, meze bars, cafes, restaurants, the list is endless, we spend hours on end just walking around & every time we discover a new shop or cafe.
The location of the house means you dont have to touch the car. The lake is just 2mins walk & you have all that you need on your doorstep. Ioannina is a fantastic university city which has a great buzz 7nts a week all year.
Ioannina international Airport just 15mins in a taxi & the KTEL national bus station is walkable 15mins/5mins in a taxi. The Egnatia Highway from Igoumenitsa to Turkey makes Ioannina very accessible now. Greece's best kept secret, Zagoria mountain region is just 30mins drive away, a fantastic landscape/Mountain region oozing jaw dropping views, walks, white water rafting & Greek Mountain village hospitality and outstanding cuisine. We have some favourite secrets in Zagoria so why not build in 2-3nts extra and let us put it together for you
