Before I booked with Merel, I asked her about check in and out time. Merel said Check in time is flexible and check out time is 11am. I thought that was great. So I booked for 12 - 14 June. I sent a text message to Merel on 11th evening to tell her what time I was going to arrive . She didn't reply. On 12th morning, I sent an email to her again to tell her what time I was going to arrive. Then I noticed that the check in time had been changed to 3 pm. When I arrived Newcastle it was about 13.45, I called Merel to ask if I could check in now. She said yes. The location is good, close to the tram and waterfront. When I met Merel, she pointed out the room to me, then she left. I settled down myself and i saw the bedding looked dirty and greasy. I threw back the cover, the cover was dirty, there were stains and hair on it. I called Merel to come to have a look, she said it was her hair. I had to ask Merel to change a clean one. And then I asked her for the door key. She gave me the key and left. She didn't tell me anything about the house and about my staying what i can use or what I can do. Nothing. When I had shower, the water went cold within 5 minutes. I had to get out. I texted Merel and she said it would take an hour to be heated. It said the breakfast was provided. Actually, it was nothing there. I am very sorry to say that Merel should be removed from the hoster.

This was an amazing stay in a safe, stunning neighbourhood in Newcastle! The terrace is beautiful and the hosts are lovely and welcoming
