Claire helped us out by arranging for us to stay in her home at relatively short notice, having been let down buy another Airbnb owner. Claire's response to any questions was always very prompt and helpful. Bury Hill Farmhouse is obviously a family home - this very much suited our family group with an age range of 3 months to 67 years. Our 2 and a half year old grandson really appreciated the toys available to him in one of the bedrooms and the trampoline was a big hit. Despite a slight anxiety about using the Aga, we soon got the hang of it and didn't need to use the back up Rangemaster. The large garden was undergoing landscaping at the time of our stay and we hope the use and enjoyment of the area didn't hamper the new lawn growth. Claire mentioned the low water pressure which means only one of the bathrooms has sufficient pressure for a shower - but manageable with co-ordinating its use. This farmhouse is chock full of character and charm and is situated in an equally charming and friendly village.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous picture postcard village. Claire and Charlie were amazing hosts. Very responsive communicators. Quickly fixed a completely unpredictable issue that arose with the water tank (now replaced) and were charming. The rooms are large and beds comfortable. Cooking and eating together as a large family was a pleasure in the big kitchen. A helpful note from the hosts gave suggestions of where to eat in the area and tips on the house. We enjoyed some lovely gentle walks by the clear stream behind the village as well as a nearby zoo and would love to go back.

Beautiful large family home in the countryside, perfect for our festive get together for 12 adults. We managed to cook a full Christmas dinner in the two spacious ovens and all fit around the kitchen table comfortably. Lovely festive touches at the house ready for our stay as well. Can imagine it would be great in the summer too with the bbq and garden! Claire was a great host who left us to enjoy our weekend, thank you xx

This was, hands down, the best few days holiday we’ve had in years. Claire’s home is truly special and we would recommend them to anyone. Claire made sure we had everything we needed, really detailed information on the house and area. We felt we could relax as soon as we pulled the car in the drive. Stunning location and wonderful hosts!
