After moving away a few years ago, I came back down to Jax w/ my partner and our dog for a 2 month stay at Dan’s place and we already can’t wait to be back. Short walk to the beach and you’ll be close to the shops / restaurants in NB/AB. If you haven’t been to the Jax beaches, Neptune is such a treat. You’ll be nestled between 3rd street, which is great for getting places with a car, and 1st street, which you can run/cycle/skate down and see lots of locals doing just the same! About the place: the Queen bed is SO comfortable. Absolute 10/10 on that alone. The bathroom / kitchen areas are functional, but could use some updates - still they were very clean and the hot water / water pressure was perfect. The kitchen is well stocked and we spent many evenings utilizing the spacious kitchen. All of the furniture is super comfy, including the couch. We really hope to be back soon and stay here as it really felt like a home away from home and we weren’t ready to leave.

We loved the location of Dan’s place. It lived up to all the expectations in terms of convenience to the beach and Neptune beach’s cute town center. Dan’s place was spacious, which was good for someone who’s working remotely and the bed was comfortable. However, the rest of the furniture was a dated and not comfortable.

This is my second time staying at the Neptune beach house. I also know that it will not be my last! Dan and his daughter are excellent house. The house is walkable or rideable by bike, which they provide, very easily. If you want to drive anywhere, everything is only a couple miles away. I highly recommend this.

We feel so lucky to have found Dan’s place. A 3 min walk to the beach, the entire second story, and all necessary essentials for a long term stay. Dan was super responsive and communicative! We will absolutely be back!

Ceiling fans in bedrooms and kitchen were very dirty, we cleaned them and went to vacuum up the dirt on the floors and the vacuum was clogged. Husband borrowed a screwdriver after a few days as we still had not heard back from owner and there was at least 6 inches of dirt in the vacuum - AC did not work for first four days, owner had a repair guy come out and he adjusted the controls on the thermostat but never looked at the unit which apparantl;y was frozen. Overall the place has a lot of potential and is very close to the beach, but is in need of much TLC. It would be better to have the hang out room in the main part of the upstairs, rather than in the sunroom, which gets very warm and you have to use a supplemental AC unit almost constantly to keep it cool out there and that is very noisy, which makes it difficult to watch tv. NO couch to stretch out on, only a love seat. Furniture and carpet very worn and stained, needs updating. Owner recommended we go to arbitration for AC
