The house is a perfect piece of Seattle in a great neighborhood. It’s quiet, safe, walkable to some restaurants, cafes, and parks! The light rail is just a 15 minute walk that can take you downtown. Close access to the 5. The pictures do not do it justice. They have all of the amenities we needed during our stay, including your own washer/dryer, and full kitchen. Jon & Colleen are great hosts! Super friendly and very responsive to anything we needed. We highly recommend staying here! We will be back for sure.

I stayed in Jon and Colleen’s cottage for a month (Feb-March). The cottage checked off everything I was looking for. Its location is within an easy walk (8-10 min stroll) to 3 restaurants (Thai, The Maple, and Kona Kitchens) and 4 coffee cafes! The street parking was always easy and I parked in the same place every night after visiting my family. The cottage itself was so cozy and restorative for me. The gas fireplace was a lovely way to start and end my days. The kitchen had everything anyone would need to prepare meals and the gas stove was a plus and so much better than our electric one at home! The area was spacious and even had room for me to exercise. And Colleen and Jon welcomed me with enough food to make hearty breakfasts and my morning coffee. It was a pleasure staying there and I intend to do so again as calendars allow. Thank you, Jon and Colleen for being such thoughtful hosts!

Jon and Colleen's Backyard Cottage is lovely- warm and spacious and had everything I needed. It is a great location in north Seattle. Jon and Colleen were lovely hosts- very communicative and responsive. I look forward to staying again in the future. Thanks

This cottage is perfect for any vacation you are looking to take. Optimal location in a safe neighborhood in Seattle. Clean space with clear instructions and useful tips around the house. Jon is very responsive in his communication and a kind host. Definitely recommending to people and staying here in the future. Thanks Jon!

This was our 2nd ~week-long stay at Jon's place and it was just as comfortable as last year's visit. It is cozy and comfortable, especially during typical Seattle wintertime weather. The gas freestanding stove was especially nice as a direct source of heat when we returned from walks in the area. The kitchen is well equipped. We already know Seattle well and did not need recommendations for activities, but interactions with Jon were quite friendly. An added plus: the Macrina Bakery (Seattle's best, INHO!) recently opened a cafe just a short walk away.
