You can surf the web via a protected WiFi network, bandwidth limited. Within walking distance, you can find a grocery store, a bar, a tobacconist, a post office, a butcher shop, and breakfast places. Supermarkets are a few kilometers away (3). Buses are available (1 km away), almost every half an hour to reach Lucca (20/30 minutes). There are villas and many small, yet beautiful, villages nearby. By car, you can reach major cities such as Pisa (30 minutes), Florence and Siena (60 minutes) or Garfagnana and Apuan Alps (50 minutes). And if you'd like to go to the beach, Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are only 25 minutes away. If something is bothering you or you need further explanations on something that is missing, just ask. Eine wirklich schöne Unterkunft mit einem wunderschönen Garten/Pool!
Loved it. 11 km from Lucca in a tiny village. Foodies will love that it’s 50 meter to a local coffee bar. 70 meter to a fantastic butcher which doubles as mini market. In 20 minutes walk to La Balena. Culinary highlight was Locanda del Noche at just 350 meter. The house itself is rustic but fully equipped. We didn’t see it much besides bed time. But we loved living on the terrace and look at the green or mountains. Chairs were extremely comfy. The mattress wasn’t completely our thing. Too much variation in the support it gives. The fridge works well, silent and has a freezer compartment. The pizza oven outside is quite special. We only used it for a bbq, but a bigger hobby cook might wanna try a wood fired pizza oven. Wood is provided. The pool is so great, it surprises that it is not shared by more people. Pellegrino and his wife were the perfect hosts. Not around when you want privacy, yet always available when you need them.
logement fidèle aux photos avec beaucoup de charme. très grand jardin avec une piscine magnifique. Nos hôtes étaient très accueillant, sympathique et discret. L'emplacement est très bien situé proche de Lucca (moins de 20mn) C'était un séjour délicieux.
Pellegrino and his daughter were extremely friendly and welcoming! Their place is beyond beautiful and we enjoyed the pool and surroundings. Pellegrino was very helpful with us with local recommendations, laundry and getting transport. 10/10 would recommend! :)
If you are looking for a great base to explore the surrounding area, look no further. Pellegrino and his family were warm and welcoming in every sense; I felt like I was part of the family. The pool and garden is absolutely gorgeous and allowed for a beautiful spot to rest and relax during my travels. Bear in mind it is a small place, and there is only a sofa bed, but it was very comfortable for my solo travels. I spent the majority of my time in the garden or at the pool. The photos don’t do the place justice. It is a gorgeous residence with the perfect amount of Tuscan character: beam and tile ceiling, stone sink, gingham curtains. Shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance <5 min, or a short drive away. Pellegrino’s house was a wonderful stop during my two month travels in Italy!
