Perched above the calm blue waters of Žrnovska Banja, Korčula Hill is a complex of luxury apartments with breathtaking views of the sea and Peljesac peninsula beyond. Blue Bay is our luxury waterfront complex located right on Žrnovska Banja. It features two apartments per floor with either 2 or 3 bedrooms, each with a private, shaded balcony. Blue Bay 5 has a magnificent view from the top floor. It is 140m² and has 3 bedrooms with queen beds, each with an ensuite, as well as a guest bathroom. The apartment is fully-equipped and well-appointed, including a kitchen, high-speed Wi-Fi, washer, a large flat-screen satellite television, an underground garage with one parking spot per apartment, and an elevator for easy access. Blue Bay is also perfect for guests with young children! Behind the building is a public playground, and in front of the building is a shallow, sloping pebble shoreline that is perfect for non-swimmers to play in.
This place is wonderful, especially for families. It is a well-equipped spot with majestic views. The 40 minute walk to old town is beautiful and Korčula was such a lovely island stop during our Croatia trip. The wine tour recommended to us by them was so enjoyable. Highly recommend. Definitely walk along the water to the market/grocer.
We stayed in Blue Bay 5. A lovely apartment, with the building being the only one out of the Korcula Hills buildings being at sea level - which meant fantastic views over the bay. A truely beautiful bay, largely sheltered from much of the wind. The "private beach" wasn't really private (it appeared that anyone could put their towels on the loungers whether they were staying at Korcula Hills or not, which meant you had to be up relatively early in the morning to get a lounger), but it had a great atmosphere, and a lovely jetty which the kids essentially jumped off non-stop for days on end. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here.
Žrnovska Banja
Žrnovska Banja was historically a small fishing settlement, acting as the associated port of the inland agricultural town Žrnovo. The bay is deep enough for tall, multiple-masted sailboats and is shielded from the stronger winds that blow down between the island and the peninsula, making for crystal clear snorkeling and diving waters. The water circulates slower in the bay as well, allowing it to warm up very nicely over the course of the day.
Korčula - 3km East
A Dubrovnik in miniature, Korčula’s well-preserved Old Town Renaissance Dalmatian architecture is a marvel to behold. You can eat and drink at the cafes and restaurants around the towns periphery in the shade of old windswept Mediterranean pines, visit the many shops in the interior of the town, and even catch a drink at the top of one of the city wall towers. Make sure you catch the Moreška dancers and watch as they whirl and clash, reenacting a Medieval battle for the rescue of a captured maiden.
Žrnovo - 3km South
A sleepy and charming agricultural town, Žrnovo is full of lovely preserved old Dalmatian limestone architecture. Visit one of the local restaurants in town and enjoy their local pasta speciality called makaruni made of noodles hand-rolled by the village’s women topped with a delicious meat sauce. On the hill above one of Žrnovo’s hamlets, you will find a gorgeous nature preserve called Kočje populated by century old trees and striking karst formations.
Lumbarda - 9km East
Originally settled by the lost tribe of Illyrians a half a millennium before the arrival of the Croatians, Lumbarda is the oldest settlement on the island of Korčula with a history stretching over 2000 years past. Lumbarda is best known for its autochthonous Grk white wine fermented from grapes of the same name which are only grown in a 40 hectare area surrounding the town. Past the fields of grapes is the island’s largest sandy beach, Vela Pržina, and the eastern-most point of the island, Ražnjić, with a stunning view down the coast towards Dubrovnik.
Directions from Domične Car Ferry
Exit the ferry and drive straight down Dubrovačka road for 2km. At the fork, keep left and after 500m, take a right. Follow the road down to the shore and drive for 3km. On your left you will see a sign first for Korcula Hill Lower then for Korcula Hill Main - take a left to Korcula Hill Main and drive up and around the bend. The reception building has a small parking lot in front and is next to the tennis court.
Shuttle Service
On arrival and departure, we provide a free transfer to the ferry port in Korcula town. For this service we need to know your arrival and departure times.
We also provide a paid shuttle service to take you from Korčula Hill to the edge of Korčula town. The shuttle runs frequently back and forth in the afternoon and evening hours.
