If you find yourself in this part of the country and need an airbnb, make sure you stay here. It was exquisite. Blissful location on the river. Got to practice my francais. Beautifully appointed with every little thing you could like in a most impressive environment. Whoever decorated did a stellar job. Only one complaint-stairs. They may have been mentioned in the description but I don't recall. If you are of a certain age with any mobility impairment, you might want to reconsider. Even though I am of a certain age with no mobility impairmentvexcept lazy, I was able to manage the stairs but would have preferred only one floor. Thank you Liann!

Beautiful renovation, shiny clean, bright views from many windows plus access on large private deck to the Gatineau River. Really nice, workable kitchen and bathroom. All needs provided. We had unfortunate and temporary road construction and river lowering by municipality - somewhat troubling but not too serious to overall enjoyment. Very peaceful and quiet place with a beautiful connection to the river. So quiet that one evening we could actually hear the patter of a light rain on the water! We enjoyed mist in the morning turning to sunshine and beautiful views of sky, shoreline, and water in the day with soft light of setting sun in evening. Very handy to Wakefield restaurants, Hull, Ottawa (30 minutes), and beautiful surrounding country drives, hikes, parks, and golf. A great place for adults alone or with older children capable of stairs, deck without railing and close proximity to the water. We truly enjoyed our time here.

We had a wonderful week at Lianne and Kitty’s place. The cottage is beautiful, light and airy.Being beside the river was very relaxing. We enjoyed watching the paddle-boarders, canoeists, and kayakers. The swimming was refreshing. Not too many motorboats which was nice. It’s surprisingly quiet there. Wakefield is a pretty village with two bakeries and an excellent general store. Gatineau Park made a nice day trip as did Ottawa.

Beautiful spot! The cottage is lovely with wonderful views on the river. Will visit again.
