Hi everyone, I have been an Interior Designer over the last couple of decades. Add another decade of me being involved in flipping houses from purchase to closing the deal and everything in between. From overall project manager redesign, improvements of fixing up to staging homes, property owner, or general manager, would be the "official title". Although, I usually don't ever try placing myself or anyone else for that matter into a box. Nowadays, I'm at it again... Property Management, Airbnb (LTR). Plus, (work in progress/under construction) on a nearly up running "Airbnb experience"; Cooking Demonstrations/ Entertainment. Mealtime, includes local sustainable organic produce growers, local wines, and vitners along with an amazing hand picked selection of family recipes. Completely reviving an assortment of these exquisite Mexican food dishes. These hand selected dishes that are tried and true flavors with unique tastes from my families very successful restaurants Plaza Linda & La Casa Diaz. Popular family dining establishments throughout the Monterey Peninsula and surrounding areas. Spanning many decades originally established in 1963 by risk taker's who got things done my Grandparents Dean & Jenny Diaz for well over 55 years ago. I literally grew up in the restaurant business from a small child playing, working, discovering the best way of growing up I can remember going abalone hunting in Cannery Row off the rocks under the old sardine canneries during the time while they were actually being closed off for good. These were the best days while skateboarding & running around Cannery Row and Carmel Valley locations, as they say. All the food from my Airbnb Experience will be presented is from a menu my Grandparents created & forged through their tenacious hard work, resilience, and calculated risks from originally opening up in Carmel Valley back in 1962. Where they were the original proud owners of Plaza Linda Mexican restaurant eventually they owned the building. From my passion for food and travel deep connection of these amazingly resilient recipes, Airbnb Experience is a perfect venue for these organic delicious recipes including (baked) chile rellenos, chile verde, Super Tostadas, local crabmeat enchiladas. Generating a brilliant platform for both my creativity, through my natural hard working entrepreneurial spirit. Pass on from generation to generation from my family who've always had a close caring loving bond. I've always been told by others that "I am truly magnanimous, with kindness really a people pleasing type of person". They've also after getting to know me point out that I'm easy going and a natural at cooking". With my hardworking spirit, entrepreneurial savvy, general business sense, a good understanding of people and my ability for hosting them. The Airbnb platform and "their mission statement" came easy for me. All of this including the most important in following God's plan. Its telling me this collaborated effort, the timing of where we're at, and the market changes with sustainable, organic produce, locally-grown, that this will be a successful business venture. Someone I know...that is very successful, once told me,"always do what you love and are truly passionate about". "Because then it won't even seem like you're going to work but rather, having fun doing what you love to do". The five things that I can't live without on a deserted island; are My Bible, Surfboard, Passport, Food, Kindness. Within my many travels I always have great connections and appreciate the differences of people and the richness in the many unique cultures and traditions specific to those destinations. I've been very fortunate to have traveled many destinations in my blessed life. Mexico, Hawaii, Indonesia, Brazil, Costa Rica, Japan, South Korea, Bali, Sumatra, Jakarta, America. Having some worldly sense through experience allows me to believe that people are generally, inherently, and naturally, good. Desiring mostly, "just to be apart of something greater than themselves" I've always said.
