Our stay there was the trip of a lifetime! I will let Amaury share the incredible history with you, whenever you stay, but we truly felt like we were in a history book or fairytale! Every detail in the space is ornate and special, we couldn't stop exploring. We added the breakfast option and it was totally worth it, fresh breads and lots of variety. It was the perfect start to our trip in Belgium and an overnight we will never forget! If you can, book the whole-house option, and you will have the castle all to yourself! Amaury’s castle was truly wondrous and a unique experience. It was the scene for my marriage proposal, which made it a true fairytale. Amaury is very a responsive and welcoming host who is rightfully proud of the castle. We found it very easy to locate and inside the castle we had everything we needed. We were amazed by the perfect, spotless, medieval condition of the castle that makes you feel royal. I searched all of the Benelux and France for a property like this, I can assure you this is one-of-a-kind, an unforgettable experience, we will be back!

Truly a highlight in our trip. Easy to find, only 10 minutes outside the city, clean, and comfortable. The history is fascinating and we loved hearing the host tell his family’s story. The added breakfast was worth it to be able to stay the whole morning on the property.

If you ever dreamed of staying in a medieval castle, this is it. We've traveled extensively throughout the world, and our stay here was truly one of a kind experience we will not soon forget. The castle exceeded our expectations in every way. Often times you see pictures and the real experience falls short. Not so in this case. From the castle exterior, to the interior, to the grounds (where cows, geese, and white doves abound); you get a true sense of what castle-life would have felt like hundreds of years ago. The host was very communicative, responsive and accommodating to our changing arrival times, and was quick to provide good recommendations whenever asked. He's also extremely knowledgeable about the castle's history since it's been in the family for centuries. It's well worth the short taxi/Uber ride to the historic center of Bruges although you might need to explain the precise location to those that are unfamiliar. We ordered the breakfast which included a nice assortment of breads & pastries, yogurt, some meat and cheese, juice and espresso. There's also a small honor cooler with several Belgium beers. Again, overall, a wonderful stay.
