Matthew proved to be an excellent host. Our 30-day stay at his place felt like being at home. He is incredibly helpful and responsive. Over time, we developed a friendship and will stay in touch. It was a great value for the money spent, especially considering the challenge of finding a place with a separate kitchen and bathroom in the neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Mathew and his family were excellent hosts during our stay with them: very helpful and responsive to messages. The basement suite was clean, cozy, and came with everything we needed during our stay. The unit is located near the highway and is reasonably priced, would highly recommend!

Thank you again for a lovely stay at your family home. The basement suite was very clean and spacious (actually larger than my former Tokyo apartment), and safe. the soft flooring was great for our little one learning to walk! Mathew especially was very responsive to questions, not only about the suite but local amenities. The public parks behind the house were wonderful for walking and dog-spotting, and we saw so much wildlife, including; rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, birds of prey, skunks, and even a non-venomous snake in a nature trail around 20 mins walk from the area. Getting to local shopping sites such as Tanger Outlet was easy with the 61 and 62 buses, and I even spent the second month travelling to Rideau for work, over 1hr away. A car would be better for longer stays, but that's just Ottawa in general not specific to the home. A 5* stay at a peaceful, friendly home with a lovely family. We can't thank you enough.

If this place is available to book, don’t miss out and book it. Matthew is a superb host and looked after us during our entire stay. The communication was easy and our privacy was always respected. The apartment had everything we needed for the month. The neighbourhood is safe and has numerous shops nearby. Close to public transit and features lots of parks. This was the perfect place to stay while we looked for a longer term rental near downtown.
