I greatly enjoyed my month-long stay in this listing. It's spacious with lots of natural light and airflow coming in from the outside. The location of the listing is also extremely convenient which I totally didn't expect as this listing is in Kam Tin. It only takes 12 minutes to walk to kam sheung road station. If you are staying here for the long term I'd highly recommend getting a bicycle which'll make your stay a whole lot more convenient. Also, note that the walking directions provided by Google Maps isn't the fastest so it's better to follow the signs or use Moovit. Getting to Yuen Long also doesn't take very long (~15-20mins) as there are tons of buses and minibuses that take you there. The place is honestly a self-contained ecosystem with everything you need being no more than a 5-minute walk away e.g. the wet market, supermarket, laundromat, pizza shop, restaurants, etc. For more premium ingredients you can head to the Marketplace at Riva which does require a bit more walking but it's a walk you'll largely enjoy due to how scenic this place is. From country parks, to organic farms, to ancient buildings, you'll find ample opportunity for exploration here. There's also a hidden gem of a coffee shop called Cohee Studio nearby. As for the cons 1. Rain gets onto the rooftop. I learned that the hard way when I opted to hang my clothes up there instead of the covered balcony in the room downstairs. 2. At the time I moved in, the apartment was a bit cluttered as many items were still being moved out of the apartment. Hopefully it'll all be cleared out for future tenants. 3. The place can get pretty hot so you'll probably have to rely heavily on the air con. 4. No wifi provided so you will probably have to hotspot. 5. The photos aren't very accurate as there are many items in the photos which aren't there e.g. the balance trainer, chairs in balcony, etc. Also, they don't really give you an idea of what the actual neighbourhood downstairs looks like. 6. Some of the furniture like the bathroom cabinet door is broken. But for the most part it won't affect you. 7. The mattress is too soft. Luckily, there is another one in the apartment which isn't as soft. This may or may not be a problem depending on your preferences though. Personally though I believe that the bed takes up way too much real estate in the bedroom. All in all, it was a great stay and the host was extremely helpful, responsive, and friendly. She was also gracious enough to provide me with a better chair for me to work in.
