The place was great. Everything as described. Complete (and big) kitchen, lots of space, comfortable bathrooms with an small indoor barbacue and outdoor firepit. You are supposed to be careful with the water and electricity usage but we never had a problem. The solar panels kept the water warm for us. It's true that is hotter during the day, but I could shower in the night with no issues. Keep in mind that you are in the middle of nowhere. If you like nature and to be isolated from every human being, this is your place. There's another house in the lot where the housekeeper is but it's like 30 feet away and we never saw her and never needed. The house is always warm even when outisde is cold (April). We are not sure how it would be in summer... Alain the host, was always helpful and had a great gesture to let us stay a little longer than stipulated without any trouble. Would definetly come back, just make sure you rent a car like we did, and you will love this place!

Literally a piece of heaven. Its so beautiful and peaceful here. I was able to continue working while being surrounded by beautiful scenery. Maras is a quiet little town and we met some of the nicest people. Also, Alain and Edith were simply incredible in helping us out. They even brought firewood to have a fire. Also, there is a garden which you are free to use. We ate some delicious zucchini. We are already planning our trip back. Thank you so much for everything ❤️❤️

Great eco accommodation with excellent views of the sacred valley. The house itself is quite special, with some quirks that come with eco living that set it apart from standard/city accommodations. Alain was a great host with local tips and very responsive when we had a few hiccups during our stay. Would recommend if you’re looking for something off the beaten path, but not if you’re expecting a standard hotel experience.

We stayed three nights at Alain’s eco-house at the end of Sacred Valley rainy season. It was peaceful and very special. Loved gazing at the mountain everyday. Overall a very good stay. Internet is fast. Alain is very communicative and very helpful. Taxi driver Rodolfo is a lovely man, very punctual and helpful. The queen bed is a bit too soft for our backs. Windows can be cleaned a bit. Otherwise a wonderful stay that we’d recommend. Note that the charming restaurant by the church is only open for lunch by reservation, which we sadly missed.
