Super prime location. Half way to mountain. 30 min to Desa Milk farm and Pasar Area. The room locate next to main road, so it will be a bit of vehicle sound. Other will be good enough. 2 kind of cafe in the resort area. Provide breakfast and dinner, potion is big enough for us.
Wake up to the view of Mt Kinabalu from my room. Awesome sight! Too bad that lodge is next to the road and traffic noise is noticeable. Otherwise, everything is great with the lodge.
Sorry for the bad review, but I have to tell the truth. First of all, the location is a BIG NO❌, at least 30mins to most of the attractions in Kundasang (Desa, Hooga, Alpaca, Bw Bus, Food, etc.). It was so hard to book a room in Mountain Valley Resort but end up we found out most of the room VACANT during our stay (Hunger Marketing?) . They only have heater for shower, not for sink. So-call direct mountain view from room doesn't really exist (or maybe only 1 room out of 30 rooms?). They did well in marketing on social media but my family disappoint on the stay with this high price. Anyhow, the staff there is friendly and helpful.
Good: - strategic location, right next to highway before Kinabalu Park, won't need to drive up to super steep ramp like other accommodations. - friendly staffs like literally. from parking greet to check-in, even cleaners also very friendly. - love the environment, a common area with balcony, will oversee the Mt Kinabalu directly without any blocking! - the room is as per what you see from thr photos. - have cafe and restaurant operating at diff hours if you want to chill out and take a meal. Bad: - If you are a light sleeper, you may not enjoy it or dun take mountain view rooms. As is right beside highway, the passing by car will be annoying.
Breathtaking views! Room gets really cold especially if it rains. There is no heating provided so use the blankets or request for more (RM15/night) if you need to stay warmer. Cloud cover can come really fast so embrace the view of Mount Kinabalu when it shows its face!
