Location was amazing, right on the loch and very peaceful. The caravan was well equipped but showed signs of its age. We had bad weather during our stay and found the heating insufficient. For the price it would be good to consider including wifi so that the Smart tv could be adequately used. Apparently we were supposed to have stripped beds and emptied rubbish but sadly we only discovered these instructions after we left.

We enjoyed our stay for 3 nights, right on the beautiful loch side. All that we needed was provided. The caravan was clean and the living area was spacious. The 2 bedrooms are compact but there is another room for storing bags etc, giving extra space. Access is easy and there’s free parking. Kyle of Lochalsh is about 15 miles drive away. The host Jamie was friendly and helpful.

I could write a book about my stay at Wildfirs Ratagan. My adventures started with Jamie greeting me (with a huge friendly smile) at the bus stop so I didn't have to walk with my luggage to the caravan. If you enjoy walking and you don't have a vehicle, this is the place to stay. Jamie made me feel incredibly safe and was always available to help. Great accommodations and absolutely everything you need for a Higland getaway. I had planned on hiking The Five Sisters, but due to the weather, Jamie suggested a different trail. Which turned out to be phenomenal. The views and the scenery were beyond breathtaking. I spent very little time at the caravan, as there is just so much beautiful countryside to see and not enough time to do it. I packed in as much as I possibly could in 5 days. I would 100% recommend Jamie's wee secluded spot to everyone. I can't wait to return next summer so I can attempt The Five Sisters. Thank you, Jamie and Jonah for making my stay so memorable. ❤️

Für Naturliebhaber, Wanderer und Wassersportler (Kajak, segeln) eine gute Gegend und Unterkunft. Auch für Eltern mit 2 Kindern geeignet, nicht jedoch für 4 ältere Erwachse. Unpassend ist auch, dass man für Strom (Heizung) extra zahlen muss. Außerdem sollte WLAN heute ein muss sein; zumindest bei dem Preis.

Jamie was a very friendly and approachable host. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable and in an amazing location for wildlife watching, hiking, wild swimming / paddleboading. Easy to get to Kyle of Lochalsh from and a good affordable option for exploring the Isle of Skye and the highlands!
