A fun experience! The check-in person was very friendly/helpful to us. Had a water leak on the mattress/wet fire wood - but overall: The pro's outweighed the cons

Supper was delicious. Although not included in the price, it was well worth the money. The buffet breakfast was sufficiently good, with sweet and savoury options. The automatically applied gratuity of 17% felt inappropriate for this rather simplistic buffet breakfast that had no service included. We really liked the yurt concept and the property itself (the outdoor showers were great!). On the negative side, the yurt had a strong odour with visible mold stains. Both of our beds were unbalanced/uncomfortable and are in a dire need of rectification as we all slept poorly. For the issues we experienced, a discount was offered, which we thought was suitable and appreciated. We wish them all the best in their project as they iron out some of the smaller details.

We had a brief but very nice stay. We had booked the Tiger Yurt. But upon arrival my wife was not feeling well and the warmer weather exacerbated her symptoms. With no AC in the Yurt it appeared it was going to be a long uncomfortable night for my wife. But Paul, the owner, heard about our challenge and arranged a switch for a lodge room with AC to help my wife feel better. The check-in person, Wick, and Paul, couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s clear that genuine hospitality is a core value that is lived out beautifully and compassionately here.

We really enjoyed our stay! Cabot Shores may charge additionally for pets, taxes, cleaning, and hot tub rentals, but since all of these costs are clearly outlined within the communications you will recieve I see no reason to take issue! The hot tub was hot and the yurt was a great place to stay the night! (If you have strong pet allergies I would recommend one of thier pet free facilities rather than the Tiger Yurt!)
