While I didn’t need a large space , this property did not have any place to hang up clothing, the bathroom was small and the only place to take a shower was at the main house outdoor shower, which was across the yard. I love outdoor showers but felt uncomfortable in the shower under the deck. Once I checked in and got settled I noticed there was no coffee pot or any small microwave that I could heat up food or make a cup of coffee in the AM. About 4 nights in, I had a death in the immediate family that I had to leave out of town and could not continue my 12 day stay and explained to the host that I had to leave and would be refund me even a few nights - no response. I have been a host in the past and felt that even a response of “no” would have been appreciated.

Great cottage to relax after being at the beach all day. House was exactly as described, quaint and walkable to the beach.

This was exactly what I was looking for in an affordable place to stay for almost a week, while I explored Cape Cod. I really only needed a place to sleep, as I was out and about from morning until bedtime so this met my needs perfectly. And I love an outdoor shower!

So this is pretty much as advertised and is essentially and upgraded "glamping" experience. Outdoor shower is nice but I can see some having issues as it is directly under the upper deck of the main house and you can see through the slats in the deck boards. You will want to bring some flips flops and maybe a robe since you have to walk from cottage and over to the shower on a stone walkway. There is room in shower to hang clothes and change there if you want. The guest house itself is minimally furnished and outfitted so as others have mentioned, you'll want to bring hand towels, trash bags for the bathroom trash can and really any conviniences that you think you'll need. There is really no place to store any clothes so you'll be living out of your bags. The guest house is very shaded and the indoor lighting is limited. The bed is comfortable and soft but the bed spread/comfortable was dirtly - otherwise the place was very clean. Check in was a breeze and Adrian communicated extremely well. The neighborhood and beach (like 400 steps away) is quintessential Cape Cod and is the highlight of the rental. The local restaurants are all closeby and you are a very quick trip to Falmouth, MV and Mashpee. I rated with fairly high "stars" except for Value because it truly is as advertised. I know everything is expensive on the Cape and especially now but the lack of ammeneties and conviniences make this place more exprensive that it should be in my opinion. Bring your own beach chairs if you want to use the beach. I was by myself and spent most of my time doing things but I don't think I'd go back unless I was by myself. If you don't mind roughing it, you'll enjoy the space. If you are from out of state and can't bring beach chairs and other items, I'd pass.

First of all, we didn’t end up staying here. I would check with the host and see if anyone has inspected the property before booking.
