The treehouse was clean and cozy, as was the outhouse, however the wording in the ad is misleading. We were expecting to be in a more secluded location, but felt like we were right in the hosts backyard, as we could see their house and hear them. We booked the stay for 4 people but there were only linens for 1 bed and only dishes for 2. There were no cloths or towels provided for clean up, the indoor wood that was provided was wet and the ceiling lights did not work. We did not see or hear any wildlife, but there was plenty of noise from traffic, would not consider this "deep forest". Overall very disappointed, not worth the money we paid.

Rustic tree cabin as described by Arthur. It was perfect for a mini-camping-esque trip. We enjoyed the small paddle in the canoe, the campfire, and the wood stove.

We loved our stay in the treehouse/cabin. It is certainly a unique experience that is worth the adventure for a couple or very small squad that wants to try a true “wilderness experience”. The tree house has any basic necessities taken care of with nice windows, cutlery, kettle, water, wood and wood stove. Some of the cooking accessory ingredients were a bit lacking but we had brought our own spices and such (and if we ask or needed it he probably would have refilled the empty oil jar in a jiffy). Bugs weren’t a huge issue for us but that may also be due to the time of year. The shower was a really cool experience, I suggest if you are adverse to cold showers to wait until are afternoon or evening when the sun has had a chance to heat the rain barrel and give you slightly warmer water. The stars and ambience is sooo peaceful. 2 of our party’s 3 guests had minimal cell service and we loved it that way. We brought the least amount of technology possible and “turned off” as best we could to fully enjoy the experience. The porta potty was actually a pretty neat design. The saw dust technique really does eliminate smell but the positioning of the bottom part really matters so if you accidentally bump it, quickly move it back or you could get a bit of a mess. The suggestions to see the Rapids and the Carp creamery were also both excellent suggestions. My only regret is that we didn’t get to cannoe on the nearby water! It is a bit expensive as it’s not really build for two couples but it is a unique and fun stay.
