Our house is in the old sea village. Just behind the Hotels van Oranje. From the apartment you can walk to the shopping street, the boulevard, the beach and the dunes. On the beach there are many fun hip beachclubs.
The Strandtent de Branding or in winter the Winterlodge is worth a visit! The layout of the beach pavilion is sure to write home about, what a cool appearance! Large olive trees in combination with carpets, a jungle of hanging plants and warm colors make the lodge attractive. Through the greenhouse you have a great view of the wide beach and the sea. Lovely to land here after a long walk on the beach. The lodge consists of three parts; the greenhouse with planks, marble tables and wooden chairs, an atmospheric part by the fireplace with long wooden tables and tables set at the back of the lodge for an extensive dinner.
Certainly on the weekend make a reservation for dinner otherwise you have to wait a long time.

Parking & Public Transport & Visit a city
Parking in Noordwijk aan Zee: parking is paid everywhere. But luckily I have a parking permit. With this permit you can always park for 3 hours free by the appartement. This works with a blue parking disc. You can also simply change this on the day. You do not have to move it after 8 pm and before 11 am. Handy for a good night's sleep :)
Close to here is also a large parking lot - het Wandveld. You can park there for a fee for € 7.50 per day.
Are you coming by public transport from Schiphol to Noordwijk. Then travel by train to Sassenheim station or Central station Leiden. From there you take the bus to Noordwijk. Get off at the Vuurtorenplein stop. From there it is a few minutes' walk to the apartment. Estimated travel time 45 - 60 minutes.
Combine Noordwijk with a visit to the city. Go to Leiden, Amsterdam of Rotterdam. Or Delft is also definitely recommended.
The historic city center of Leiden is worth a visit to the city. Leiden is a city of canals, bridges and boats. After Amsterdam, Leiden has the most water flows through the city center. With an extensive range of shops, a great Saturday market and many museums with top international collections, you can never be bored here. Especially with children recommended. Accessible in 20 minutes by car and in 30 minutes by public transport.
Amsterdam - Visit this world-famous 17th-century capital of the Netherlands. Enjoy the historic buildings, beautiful museums and a friendly atmosphere. Take a boat trip through the canals, stroll through the Vondelpark and shop in the old town. Amsterdam is unique in its kind! A city that never sleeps and where there is always something to experience. Where you definitely should have been in your life.
Accessible from Noordwijk by public transport in 1 hour and 15 minutes. By car you go to Sassenheim station in 15 minutes and then by train in 40 minutes to the center of Amsterdam. This is the fastest and easiest way.
Rotterdam is a city with many faces; a tough port city, trendy entertainment city, chic shopping city and trendy artists' city. But above all, Rotterdam is the architecture city of the Netherlands, where innovation is central and the skyline is constantly changing. You can go anywhere between the skyscrapers of Rotterdam. Great shopping, great food and plenty of museums and attractions in and around the center.
Accessible from Noordwijk by public transport in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Rotterdam can be reached by car in around 50 minutes.
Noordwijk is extremely suitable to enjoy the beach, the dunes and the sea and to chill in the many trendy beach clubs. A day in the city is a very nice change and addition.
Do you really want to experience a weekend in Amsterdam. Then Noordwijk is perhaps a bit too far away for just an overnight stay. But the combination between the busy city and the fresh air on the coast is definitely recommended.
