The house itself was nice and clean. It had all the amenities needed for our stay. Host was available by message as needed. I requested an early check-in which the host approved for 8 AM. Cleaners arrived around 11am. I was not able to enter the home because of cleaners were still present close to 1pm. Early check in was not honored. During our stay, our vehicle was vandalized. It was parked outside the gates. If staying in this home, it is important to know that the driveway is small. Larger vehicles cannot be parked inside. There is also no chain or lock for the larger gate. We decided to leave a day early than the original reservation due to feeling unsafe. When I reached out to the host, she would not honor a refund for the last day and provided excuses as to why. I had to reach out to Airbnb support for assistance with my matter. Overall, a nice property but with the issues we encountered not the best choice.

We stayed in Mexicali for a family wedding and Mariela was a saint! We had an incident where my brother damaged the bathroom door because he was inebriated after the wedding and Mariela was very understanding. It was embarrassing and something that i hope never happens again but she calmed my anxiety with her patience. I was honest with her and she didn’t try to gouge me which I really appreciate. Will definitely be back when visiting family. Thank you for your responsiveness and kindness 🙏🏽

Mariela’s house was beautiful and clean. She was very attentive, communicative, and was overall a great host. I highly recommend this place and would be happy to stay here again.
