Peter's cottage is a gem. Being close to several beautiful beaches and well marked foot trails it lets you to explore and experience north of Kefalonia without needing to drive.

We completely fell in love with Peter's Cottage. We arrived late in the evening to be met by our host who briefly showed us where everything was in this immaculately clean and beautifully decorated cottage. The space has an airy and tasteful feel, exceptionally clean with all the amenities you could think of. Very efficient air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer. It might sound strange but one of the best things was the windows, which at the front of the cottage are full height, each window has a screen so you can have the windows open without any bugs getting in, they also have shutters to keep out the sun, really satisfyingly engineered and good quality. Also a very comfortable bed. One of the highlights was sitting outside under a mature olive tree to eat breakfast, or having a really great shower in the (I wish my shower at home was this good) beautifully tiled bathroom. The island is gorgeous, the weather was unfailingly sunny. Our favorite beach was Emplisi beach which though busy at the height of the season has plenty of space on big stone slabs on either side of the bay where you can feel like you've found your own secluded spot, we loved snorkeling here and watching the swallows swoop low over the water as we swam. The cottage is well placed for walking paths which lead you through shaded forest, the walk from Emplisi to Kimilia beach was particularly enchanting. It is also very near Fiskardo with it's stylish harbor and good local amenities. Petros was always on hand for any help or advice, he lives not far from the property and managed a good balance of being helpful but politely unobtrusive. He was very considerate even down to giving us the contact details of a local doctor. Every detail really has been thought of and the price for the quality of property was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here. Have a wonderful time we certainly did.
