Francesca’s place was phenomenal! This was our first time in Europe, and first time attending the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix - and we plan to continue staying with Francesca each time we attend the race! We felt very safe walking around even after dark! Everything on her end was fantastic - she was extremely helpful and responsive anytime we needed anything. She is so friendly and helped us make sure we had what we needed at all times! She even helped us get to the train station when we weren’t able to get a taxi - that was hugely above and beyond and we appreciated it more than we could say! We didn’t end up getting to downtown Monza, but she gave us some fantastic recommendations! I’ve added them to the end of the review for anyone interested. Helpful tips for anyone going to Monza, specifically to attend a race: - download the BicinCittà app before your trip so you can easily rent bikes from the monza bike sharing areas! There’s one about 3 minutes from Francesca’s place that made our trip so much more enjoyable! We biked to the track (15-20 minute ride) and this was a huge help as taxis aren’t super reliable in the area during the Grand Prix weekend. (You ride the bikes and scooters in the street, not on the sidewalks FYI) - download the Dott app before your trip to rent the electric scooters - but beware they don’t work in all areas of Monza so look ahead at the map before you start your ride to make sure you can go where you need to. *they do not work at the race track, and bikes and scooters are not allowed inside the track FYI* - Uber eats was great when we didn’t feel like going out for dinner after a long day at the track! - AppTaxi and FreeNow are two taxi service apps you’ll also want to have downloaded ahead of time. - to get to her place from Milan Centrale we exited the train station and turned left to get into the taxi line. We took a taxi (about 35 euros) to Monza and he dropped us off right in front of Francesca’s place. It was pretty slick! - if you’re using an eSIM for your phone, keep in mind you won’t be able to make any calls to order food or call a taxi so you’ll have to rely on app-based services. It’s very helpful to have them downloaded ahead of time as they use your phone number to authenticate (they send you a text with a code you have to input into the app to create an account). We had to have someone from home help us as well as Francesca, who routinely went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! Francesca - thank you for making our first trip to Europe and first trip to a Grand Prix unforgettable! You made things so easy and were so helpful so we didn’t need to worry about a thing! ***Recommendations from Francesca: *Caffé* -Granaio Monza - Authentic Italian Restaurant Via I Maggio, 104, 20863 Concorezzo MB -Pasticceria Artigianale Gelateria Nava Via Amundsen, 8, 20900 Monza MB -Also everywhere in Monza centro! 😊 *Supermarkets* -Esselunga (they can send you groceries at home, you need to reserve the service one day in advance) Viale Libertà Ang, Viale Gian Battista Stucchi, 20900 Monza MB -Iper La grande i (they can send you groceries at home, you need to reserve the service one day in advance) Via della Guerrina, 98, 20900 Monza MB -in front of Pasticceria Artigianale Nava there is a small one *Aperitivo* Is very common here, if you go between 6pm and 8 pm you pay your drink and they bring you something to eat! -Piazza San Paolo, Monza (I suggest Dori but if you don’t find a table everyone else in piazza San Paolo are good! *Restaurants* I suggest to make a reservation for these days -La Cucina di Via Zucchi Via Bartolomeo Zucchi, 10/12, 20900 Monza MB -Al-Anbiq Via Vincenzo Bellini, 12, 20900 Monza MB -Sanuk Asian Kitchen (it’s asian food but I love it 😅) Via Bergamo, 27, 20900 Monza MB -I could suggest more but you can just follow your nose! Restaurants here are not so touristic so it’s easy to eat good 🙂 The center of monza is full of places. The area here is very safe, just people walking the dog. If you need more I’m here. Francesca's property is great. Sunny, very well arranged and clean. It had everything we needed. Francesca is very nice, always available when needed. The property has its own parking space, which is a great advantage. It is located in a place that is very easy to find. We were super happy with our stay. We would gladly come back again. Francesca is a very nice host. She is very responsive to all the queries. She even took the pain to pick me up from Monza bus station to the house. Her house is a perfect accommodation with all the amenities and is very much for those who work at Via Energy park . There is a bus Z321 from 2 min walking distance from her house that goes to Energy park every 15 minutes and drops you there in max 10 minutes time. Also, center of Monza/Monza station and Milan is easily accessible via bus and train. Its a perfect stay for both short term and Long term. Would love to stay in this house again.
