This is a great cabin in an amazing area. It's not too hard to find, but I do suggest trying to get there before dark. But I feel this way about most places. The only thing I will point out is the bedrooms have bat wing doors (AKA Saloon doors). So basically there is zero privacy. If you have small kids they will probably love it as the whole cabin is decked out with everything horses. If you have teen girls, they might not appreciate them as much. As it was just my girlfriend and me, it was just a cute novelty. Also, pick up the hiking Big South Fork book and thumb through it. Lots of little notes from where the owners went hiking over the years.

Lovely spacious cabin was just as pictured and described with very comfy furnishings, I was almost tempted to stay inside the whole weekend. Exactly the kind of place I needed to unwind and celebrate my birthday with friends. Next time I feel like visiting the Big South Fork or Cumberland Falls I will definitely check if either this or Cabin 1 are available.

marys cabins are above and beyond expectations, if your looking for peace,and solitude then this is the place. all of the trails, horses,rock hangings and never ending beauty. we especially loved sitting on the back deck late at night listing to the creek and all the wildlife . the kerfoot family lafayette indiana
