Hiroko and Kazu are great hosts. They speak English, so it is easy to communicate with them. They live upstairs, but the studio flat has its own entrance to the house. This flat is well-designed. The kitchen is fully equipped, and you can easily work from home. The bed is comfortable and depending on the length of your stay, the room is suitable for a couple or a family with a kid. The Komazawa Daigaku station (5 minutes walk) is on the Den-En-Toshi line and therefore at a convenient distance from Shibuya, from where you have access to all stations of central Tokyo. The Den-En-Toshi Line is the extension of the Hanzomon line. You can change to the Ginza line in Omotesando station without leaving the platform, so it is actually quite easy to get to places in the eastern part of the center (Toranomon, Ginza, Nihonbashi, Tokyo station). As for Shinjuku (center west), you can change to the Fukutoshin line in Shibuya station and get off at Shinjuku-Sanchome. If you would like to do some shopping, you can also go to Futako Tamagawa (Nikotama). It’s a major commercial hub with big shopping malls, it is next to the Tama river, and a few big companies such as Rakuten have their offices there. The Komazawa Daigaku station area is quite crowded, but once you get to Hiroko’s place, the area is quiet and peaceful. There is a small supermarket and a convenience store at a few minutes walking. Near the station there are bigger supermarkets and some restaurants. From Hiroko’s place, you can also easily walk or take the train to the next station. Sangenjaya (Sancha) has a lot of restaurants and bars, and a sky view over Tokyo at the Carrot Tower. One of the best aspects of the area was the Komazawa Olympic Park. There is a fully equipped gym in the park with English-speaking staff. They use a pay as you go system, so you can just pay for one time (450 yen) or pay for five or ten times and get one or two extra gym visits included in the price. It is very convenient for people who are just staying here for a short term and don’t want to sign up for a gym subscription. The only thing you need to do is to show up with a pair of gym shoes and follow the safety instructions: temperature check and contact tracing form at the entrance, and wearing masks at all times.

1ヶ月ほど滞在させて戴きました。 お部屋は大変綺麗で、キッチン、冷蔵庫、電気ケトル、電子レンジ、食器が揃っていますので自炊される方は、入室日から自炊可能です。 お部屋には、掃除用具のほか、予備のバスタオルなども準備されていて助かりました。 食事用件ワークデスクは、大きくはないですが、1人で仕事をするには充分な広さでした。 周囲は、住宅地なので、静かな環境ですが、周囲には、コンビニや24時間営業のスーパーもあります。また、三軒茶屋駅や駒澤大学駅などにも徒歩でアクセスできます。
