Robs place was The host greeted us and instructions good. It was a lovely,modern, clean, and comfortable apartment The place was central to Gunwarf, restaurants, local attractions and close to train stayion and bus station and Usle of ferries . Although nicely furnished and comfortable, the sofa and carpets could do with a little clean Also, the decor needs refreshing as a little tired and worn here and there Additionally , there were few plates and cups and no complimentary toiletries. The bath towels could do with replacing ad only one hand towel provided

It was a good apartment in a super position. It could have been excellent with a little effort. - it only had one bedside table and light - the crockery was mismatched and a mug chipped, there was only one Prosecco glass - I was discomfited by the highlighted signs in the lift that said short term lets were not allowed. It made me nervous when I met anyone - we were asked after booking and paying for it for a £200 cash deposit. I had never had this experience before. Airbnb were brilliant when I inquired and got back to me to say that it was a legitimate request. In the end we didn’t have to pay it but it had worried me because we’ve stayed in a lot of airbnbs worldwide and we’ve never been asked for a cash deposit before. - the website said it would be £15/day to park. Although the host did waive the parking fee it does seem a bit greedy to ask for more money when the apartment is expensive and there is a parking place there anyway

The location was great for exploring Old Portsmouth and the Historic Dockyard. It cost a bit more than we wanted to spend but its summer and we couldn't find anything less expensive.

This apartment was a great hub for my wife and I to stay while visiting family in the area. The area was very walkable to pubs, restaurants and night clubs. It was very convenient to use the parking as well as the train service which is right outside the building. That being said hope you don't mind the sounds of city life (trains, cars people etc) outside the window. I didn't mind it but some may be put off. The host was very responsive to our needs. The description did say it had AC which was false however when asked for a fan, one was dropped off. We did not pack shower gel or shampoo or My wife hairdryer because it said they were part of the description. They were not found so we had to think on our feet to allow my wife's hair to for a family dinner. ( window down head out ) did the trick until we were able to get our hands on an hair dryer . Overall it was a very nice place and did the job as acting as a hub to visit family in the area. Thank you for your hospitality
