You often read reviews that state "This was the best AirBnb I have ever stayed at etc". They appear with a regularity that leads you to question their truth. In this case, I can say with confidence that this property and the owners are well beyond the level of many other (albeit excellent) places I have stayed. The cottage is stunning, the location is excellent, the amenities comprehensive and the owners are two of the kindest individuals I have ever communicated with. Liz has an amazing grasp of interior design language and the home is carefully knit together from a thematic perspective. Every sight line yields a surprise and a little exploration is rewarded with an abundance of "Artistic Easter Eggs" to pry forth a chuckle or smile. If you are thinking of a renovation of a vacation property, a booking of one of Liz's gems is almost "required reading" and certain to inspire. This is not to omit Lee, who is one of the most thoughtful, genuine chaps you will ever share a chat with.

This is a beyond wow cottage! It is so cute and a perfect location in Mt Dora! Liz was amazing to work with. Not only is she very friendly, personable and easy to relate to, she is extremely responsive. When she told me we only needed to bring our clothes, she was spot on! She literally has everything you could ever need and more. The cottage is absolutely adorable. How she and Lee have decorated it is amazing! We will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone that is looking for a pristine place to stay that has a ton of character! Thank you Liz and Lee for providing an incredible place to stay while we were moving. After long hectic days of packing, moving and closing, the cottage was so welcoming to come home to!

We arrived with great instructions to find a beautiful place that was very well equipped. The decor is eclectic and fun. In addition amenities such as fresh eggs, cream, good coffee and snacks were to be found in the kitchen. Liz gave us recommendations for activities and gave us a late check out as there was a crafts fair in town which we visited Sunday morning. I would not consider any other accommodation in Mount Dora - great place to stay.

The best way to have an authentic historic Mount Dora experience is in this incredibly upgraded 1922 cottage! You get a real sense of what life was like a century ago sitting on the porch swing, playing the amazing 1904 piano, and walking on the beautiful original heart-of-pine wood floors as folks did 100 years ago. It's old world charm combined with every modern convenience and an eclectic mix of nostalgic items and modern art pieces. "The Wow Cottage" is definitely an "Imaginarium" as described...a place of inspiration that sparks your imagination!

"The Wow Cottage" really delivers on the "Wow"! This spectacular, comfortable, and well-stocked cottage has surprises in every corner! The quirky modern art pieces mixed with fascinating vintage items definitely make this a Mount Dora destination all on its own!
