This place was wonderful for our daughter to be outside without us worrying about her. She was free to explore the grounds and visit the different little areas that made this place special. Checkin was very easy even at 1 am when we arrived

Beautiful home and property with acreage. The home is decorated beautifully, and the orchard was simply amazing. Most fruit was out of season, but the starfruit was simply delicious. My husband and son-in-law loved the fishing the River and the fish pond was beautiful. Things to know: if you are not in good health, the river will be too far to walk to, as it was for me. I did walk to the tiki hut one day. We had four adults, and had to buy a bag of ice because the icemaker did not work. If you like to cuddle and watch movies at night, make sure you take your own throws. That being said, we absolutely loved our visit and if we mentioned anything casually, Heather and the owner never hesitated to immediately bring us what we wanted. Everything you need is here. The property is lush with foliage and my husband and two dogs absolutely loved their walks every day. Private and beautiful. I am thankful for Lou and AJ sharing this home with us.

Our family cannot recommend the Banana River house and the team that runs it enough! After an extended stay at this property we have endless positive reviews to share. Some of our favorite memories include daily walks to the private dock, picking fruit in the orchard, watching sunsets, fishing, kayaking, observing wildlife, great views of rocket launches, swimming in the pool and relaxing in the tiki huts. Not only is the entire property gorgeous and well maintained (all 9 acres), but the interior house accommodations are great, as well. The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable with everything a family could need. Check in was very easy and the communication was fantastic. Heather, Jeff and Lou were wonderful to work with and couldn’t have been more kind, responsive and accommodating. We highly recommend the Banana River house for a Florida vacation or a local getaway and we’re so thankful for our time spent there!

Our trip to Merritt Island was great. The house is on a beautiful property and we loved walking our dog to the dock every morning - it was so peaceful on the river. The house was great, as expected. Wi-Fi was great and having a desk space off to the side in the sun room was super helpful in the days I needed to get some work done. The pool was an added bonus in the Florida heat after a day at the softball fields!
