The place was great, well cleaned and everything was how it was on the listing. Only thing I wasn’t expecting was the owner to be at the house. Should be posted on the listing.

We loved our stay at Joyce’s place. When searching for a place in Port Franks, Joyce’s house was one of the few that had the three things we were looking for: affordable, lots of beds, and close to the beach. We managed to comfortably sleep, feed, entertain and bathe 4 adults and 5 children. The fire pit in the back and the extra living space upstairs made it easy for the adults to socialize after the kids were asleep. Joyce was at the house for a part of our visit, and was very welcoming and accommodating. For example, when she realized we had a couple babies with us, she quickly brought us a high chair. The best part about Joyce’s house is its proximity to the beach. Being so close allowed us to easily walk with the kids and all their stuff several times per day. I’m going to stop there because if I say anymore complimentary things, her place may become too popular, and we may want to stay there again next year! But needless to say, I would recommend Joyce’s place!

Joyce's place was perfect for my extended and immediate family. The cottage was comfortable and spacious with a lot of room to spread out. My young children had a lot of room to play. Joyce was very welcoming and quickly answered any questions that we had. The cottage was clean and as described. It was a 5-10 minute walk to a lovely beach that was perfect for young children as the water remained quite shallow. Renters are required to bring their own sheets and towels which we clarified with Joyce. As mentioned, there isn't a dishwasher or washing machine/dryer. Overall we had a fantastic week and would rent Joyce's cottage again in the future. Thank you Joyce for a lovely week!

This was our second year staying at Joyce’s. The new air conditioning and living room furniture were a great plus. Joyce was always very quick to respond when we had questions.

We enjoyed our stay at this airbnb. The decor and appliances were typical to a older cozy cottage, but everything was functional. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk, uphill and down hill, down the road from the cottage with a large sandy dune to climb before getting onto the beach (could be difficult for those with accessibility issues). The beach itself is absolutely beautiful, soft sand, shallower water, a great place to swim, and far less crowded than more well known beaches in the area. One thing to note is that one of the two bathrooms is an ensuit from a bedroom, for our group of girlfriends staying together, this was inconvenient as we only had one bathroom to use, if anyone was asleep in that particular bedroom. Joyce herself was a wonderful host and super responsive to any questions we had.
