Thea’s place is small and once you light the fire, warm. Thankfully there was plenty of kindling and firewood. There is a long flight of 20 narrow steps up to front door. Thea had not prepared her house for guests, however she accepted our booking. We had to make our bed… difficulty to find clean linen. Her place was clean but there was a lot of stuff lying about. We were under strict instructions to limit our use of water as she only has a rainwater tank, no mains water. We had to supply all our own drinking water. We couldn’t open the front door. Once we finally got inside we closed the door and then couldn’t get back out! My husband was able to do a temp fix. When I said she needed to get a locksmith I was told that none were available. I get the vibe Thea is aiming for but it leaves the place cluttered and hard to find necessary things. Don’t expect the river and ocean views as claimed. There’s none. Thea was lovely to talk with but her place left us very underwhelmed.

Our stay with Thea was incredible! From the moment we booked it she offered countless recommendations and tips for travelling the island, and even called us to ensure clear communication was established. The house was beautiful, offering great views of sunrise and sunset. There was even a little kangaroo family in her backyard who came and hung out with us as we ate dinner. There was plenty of space to accommodate four of us with three bedrooms a living room and kitchen. She's got a knack for decorating, with lots of unique pieces around the house. We even found some CDs and listened to ABBA whenever we made dinner. We only wished we had stayed there longer. Could not recommend this place more, thank you Thea!

It is a cozy, lovely place. We really like the styling of the house. We also love the kangaroos visiting the garden during our stay in the evenings. The host Thea has been very helpful and thoughtful. She gave us a wonderful pemper gift set to make our stay more enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed our 7-night holiday here.

We loved our stay here. Such a cosy place! We loved all the nooks and books and warmth put into the house. Great base to explore the Island - too much to do on KI. 3 nights not enough!!
