The carriage house is beautiful!! It is so peaceful and serene. It is perfect for a long term stay! I would definitely stay in Sara’s house again!

This was a top-notch one month-ish stay. I would recommend Sara's place to anyone staying in LA for work or trip. The place was very clean, cozy, and safe. It's close to USC main campus (walkable distance of 15min). The kitchen, the bathroom, couch, and bed all suits the need for someone who wants to make him/herself at home while staying alone for a month. DTLA area without all the hassle - highly recommened!

One of the few places I'd look forward to coming back to. Our review is reflected from a 5.5 month stay working from home. As a host, Sara was very communicative and flexible. Pretty much everything you could ask for in terms of a host. The bnb is a studio with great light throughout the day and the essentials. Very private space on the second floor of Sara's workspace (no noise from below ever). The stove is an antique gas stove which cooked perfectly fine. Water is hot, wifi is fast. Perfect for a work from home person. There are chickens on the premises that can be a bit chatty at times but keep the windows closed and there's no issue. Also free eggs :) The neighborhood is quiet although there can be noises, parties and/or music on the weekend at times. This is sporadic and not something you could even avoid since you are living a large (and sometimes loud) city. Not an issue for us but worth pointing out to those who require extreme silence at all times. No TV, no drier (there is an eco washing machine available). If you need a full wash, there is a relatively affordable laundry mat down the street. Parking is street parking so be aware of the cleaning rules. Don't expect spots directly in front of the house all the time. There are, however, plenty of spots in the neighborhood and it is pretty safe to walk around at night. USC Village is about a 10-15 minute walk, Ralphs is about a 5ish minute drive. DTLA is within 10-15 mins, Hollywood is 20-35, Santa Monica and Torrance 30-40. Malibu an hour. You are directly next to 10 and 110. Overall, I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a no frills but homey/cozy stay. It is very central to the more hidden spots of DTLA while being close enough to get to the touristy spots via car.

Sara's place is a great place to stay near the USC area of LA. The unit has a lot of space and all the amenities perfect for a short or long term stay. The garden/backyard area is a nice addition to the place. Sara was very helpful and welcoming, even gifting me with some eggs from her chickens. The parking situation can be a bit challenging with the street parking, as availability depends on time of day, and be aware of the street sweeping hours on Tuesdays.
