Cute little cottage that is so homey with the furniture and decor. I love that that the host had Nanaimo bars for when we arrived and a welcome sign with our names on it. Super cute! I looked like everything in there was intensional for a cozy stay. The host shared a lot of recommendations specific to what we were looking to do. And after an exploring the island it was nice to soak in the private hot tub where there is provided towels, robes and sandals. Highly recommend!

Absolutely perfect Airbnb! Beautiful little cottage with so many lovely details and all the amenities you could need (including en suite laundry). Fully equipped kitchen. Private, quiet and located in a peaceful neighbourhood - just a short drive from downtown Nanaimo. Very clean and cozy. Hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Thanks for the wonderful stay! Would definitely stay here again!

The cottage was absolutely stunning. The interior was decorated with high end fixtures and finishes. Special attention was given to details. The heat stove was nice to warm up by after a day of hiking. Having an in-suit washer and dryer was such a treat! The covered deck was perfect for enjoying the experience without getting wet. (There was plenty of rain). Although I didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub, I look forward to trying it out the next time I stay here!!

The Bay Cottage offered everything we needed for our week's stay in Nanaimo. Carrie's eye for design and intention toward comfort meant we could feel at home whether relaxing in the hot tub, preparing meals, tending to laundry, or hosting a friend for tea. The setting felt bright and cheery, and ocean views were inspiring. The location offered a quick walk to the beach and close proximity of grocery items. All in all, a great experience!
