Awesome little place to stay!

Decided to stay here, as husband was working about 20 min away. Marliene is a wonderful host. Easily available if needed, as she’s right next door. She even had some toys for our son to play with & gave us some elastics so we could keep the cupboards closed for our curious toddler. Loved being able to just sit out back or swim in the lake with our son or he could play out back/in the water. Marliene had floaties so that was so convenient. And our 2 dogs loved the backyard too. Marliene’s bloodhound came to visit a few times, so our dogs got a little rambunctious but they enjoyed the yard & the AC. I slept on the pull out with my son, and it’s a pull out so nothing fancy or overly comfy but we had lots of pillows and blankets if needed. And my husband slept in the bedroom. He mentioned he could only sleep on the bed sideways as the mattress would kind of cave in with just him. With the heat, it was hotter in the bedroom than the open area, even with the door open, as the AC is in the open area max 5 hours on. But we enjoyed the water being just out back, lovely view, and the beach area too with the sand island just a short walk down the road. Thankful for the AC as there was a heat wave during our stay. In the evening noted a smell in the air probably from the farms in the area. We had a wonderful time, everything we needed and could have stayed longer, but husband had to finish up another job back in Vancouver. Thanks Marliene for a lovely mini time away.
