Estepona offers a fantastic escape from the often busy working life. Our favorite beach 'Playa del Cristo' has one of the best views and plenty of space to lay on the beach. The sun sets behind the mountain, so you will have the most amazing sunsets. In addition, there are several chiringuitos with great food and drink.
The 'Paseo Marítimo' is the local boulevard, stretching through Estepona. Perfect for a sunset walk and to end up in the old time to have a drink or enjoy one of the many Spanish restaurant.
Estepona’s largest beach is also the closest to the old-town and is called 'Playa La Rada'. It’s a long and broad ribbon of soft pale sand. Palm trees have been planted all along all 2.6 kilometres of beachfront and there are play areas for kids and volleyball courts if you fancy a game. In the summer you can choose from a multitude of sunshades and sun-loungers, so it’s the obvious destination if you want to fun in the sun and don’t mind the crowds.
As soon as you leave Estepona the terrain becomes mountainous, and if you like a good hike it may be difficult to resist the call of the Sierra Bermeja range.
