The location is great and the room is very comfortable and well-equipped, with great attention to detail (nice linens, Roku TV, storage space for your belongings). Marcko lives on the premises and, as many others have said, is extremely friendly, hospitable and generous (in my case, however, increasingly uncomfortably so and without an appropriate sense of boundaries). Since the room has a window facing the street, traffic noise is pretty constant from 5 am till 10 pm -- bring earplugs or try to book one of Marcko's quieter rooms if that is likely to bother you.

Me gustó mucho mi experiencia en El Jardín Secreto, la habitación es muy cómoda, con muchas opciones de canales, sábanas y cama suave, las áreas comunes son bellas y tranquilas. Me encantó el jardincito de enredaderas, el gimnasio y la posibilidad de tener cine en el patio en las noches. Hay un lugar donde puedes comprar cosas en caso de requerirlas al igual que agua o refrescos. Marcko es muy atento y está pendiente de las necesidades de los huéspedes para brindar la mejor atención. El centro queda a unos 30 a 40 minutos caminando y hay un cafecito muy rico a menos de una calle de allí. Volvería a quedarme allí.

The place smelled like drain, and the bathroom wasn't working. My parents had to go to another room because there was no water in theirs and even then, the water was not even enough, it seemed like droplets. This was the first vacation in the whole year of my parents (67 & 68 years old), and the whole experience was horrible. They told the landlord about it and he answered very rudely to them, almost screaming, that they should go to a five-star hotel if they didn't like the place. I've seen the answers the landlord gives in here when a client doesn't like the place. He will find ways to always put the blame on the client and tell that they were picky or not understanding. But answering in a polite way is the most basic thing in hospitality and also having the services that you claim to have in the property. This has never happened to me before in any other place, and even if there was an issue, the owner would always be kind and attentive to resolve the issue.
