When we arrived I noticed a general bag smell. Almost like it needed a good clean through. The toilet had a strong scent. My husband & I were hoping to sleep upstairs, leaving the downstairs free to enjoy. However, when I went upstairs the two beds looked as though they had already been slept in. One didn’t even have a duvet cover on, instead it had been used as a sheet. I noticed the smell of sweat & body odour immediately. It was disgusting! Totally put us off using up there so we used the down stairs bed/sofa which had some bedding on. This bedding didn’t smell great at all. It was creased and looked 20 years old. All other laundry was in a stinking wardrobe with smelly clothes & flip flops. Again, this all smelt. Towels were rock hard. Crockery was dirty & so were cupboards & drawers. Complained to host who apologised & said she had been ill so not really checked properly. All in black & white but then decided to say I was lying! So rude! AirB gave me a £49 refund. So sad. Awful!
