Jane and Biagio were fantastic. Very helpful and great recommendations. Biagio made us pizza one night and gave us a lesson in making pasta. The house was amazing. Highly recommend

Abbiamo trascorso uno splendido weekend al Melograno, accolti dagli splendidi Biagio e Jane che sono stati estremamente gentili, disponibili e amichevoli. L’alloggio si presenta esattamente come nelle foto: accogliente e curato nei minimi dettagli, incorniciato da una location mozzafiato. Se cercate un’oasi di pace e tranquillità, questo è il posto che fa per voi, non vediamo l’ora di tornare!

We arrived at Il Melograno to the most spectacular sunset, a warm welcome and even cuddles from Stacey their dog. The location is stunning with endless views of both the mountains and sea. The property is warm and homely, and decorated beautifully. A bottle of local wine and homemade lavender biscotti were a nice touch. Biagio and Jane were most helpful and kind with great communication both prior and during our stay. We ate 2 nights at Osteria la Frasca in Scerni, on their recommendation, it was excellent, incredible pizza and whilst driving there in the evening saw wild boar with their babies. We explored the coast, Sulmona, a town in the foothills, and the mountains where the autumn colours were most vivid and then hilltop towns like Atessa, even eating gelato in the rain and cold autumn temperatures. We found the local Abruzzesi are warm and welcoming wherever we went and were patient to my novice attempts at Italian. Book a stay at Il Melograno, you won’t regret it.

Il Melograno ligger fantastisk til med vakker utsikt. Soloppgang fra Adriaterhavet og solnedgang mot Majella nasjonalpark. Vi tilbrakte 14 dager hvor vi opplevde flotte landsbyer, fjell og hav. Vi hadde også dager som vi rett og slett bare ville nyte i i hagen til Jane og Biagio, omringet av lavendel, oliventrær og fredfull atmosfære. Jane og Biagio er et fantastisk vertskap, og gir gode råd og anbefalinger. De er varme mennesker som gjør alt for at man skal finne ro. Vi følte oss umiddelbart som hjemme, og vi ble inkludert i ting som skjedde på gården. Huset er stilfullt innredet og med et delikat soverom. Vi sov så godt der. På vår reise gjennom Italia er Il Melograno et eventyr som ga oss et fantastisk minne for livet. Tusen takk, Jane og Biagio, vi kommer tilbake!

Abbiamo soggiornato al Melograno scoprendo nuovi paesaggi e godendo di una compagnia unica ed estremamente piacevole. Biagio e Jane hanno creato un piccolo paradiso: la vista dal giardino di casa è spettacolare e rilassante, grazie anche alla loro piantagione di lavanda. La casa Melograno è deliziosa: funzionale, dotata di ogni confort e con dei tocchi vintage che le conferiscono personalità. Il mare dista solo qualche km in auto ed è facilmente raggiungibile;se invece preferite la montagna, potrete visitare la Majella e i suoi meravigliosi panorami. Quello che per noi ha fatto veramente la differenza, però, è stato il modo in cui ci hanno accolti Biagio, Jane e i cani di casa Stacey e Dumbo: un calore e una cortesia non scontati, grande pazienza con la nostra bambina, voglia di condividere esperienze ed informazioni sulla zona. Come se non bastasse, Biagio è anche un cuoco eccezionale; siamo stati felici di vederlo all' opera e di assaggiare i suoi piatti deliziosi!
