El lugar estaba bien ordenado y justo como lo pone en la foto, todo muy tranquilo y bonito para visualizar aves (en su mayoría colibrís). Lo único a tener en cuenta es que la llegada a la cabaña (la 8 en mi caso), es que al momento de que te deja el carro que te lleva, hay una parte que el carro no puede pasar, por ende hay que subir como unos 5 a 7 min en subida a pie con las cosas, pero el personal del lugar te ayuda así que por ese lado se sopesa.

If you are looking for a rustic and remote setting surrounded by cloud forest and fabulous birds, then this is the place for you. My adult son, husband and I spend two nights at the cabana. There is abundant space, the kitchen is very well equipped, and we had everything we needed. We brought all our own food (don't plan on going to the lodge to eat - it's a very long walk) and enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen. The best part was being in the middle of the cloud forest. There is another casita nearby, but no one was staying there. There are a couple of maintained trails near the cabana, and we enjoyed some hikes. We had rented a Tucson, but were glad to get a ride in and out in the lodge's Land Cruiser - it's a rough drive in. Common birds around the cabin included 4 hummingbird species, yellow-thighed finches, collared redstarts, blue gray thrushes, black-faced solitaires, & many more. Saw a puma track on a hike. A kinkajou visited at night and raided the hummingbird feeders.

Amazing location- you’re literally in the cloud forest. An extremely special, enchanting and unique space. Can’t wait to go back.

We stayed 2 nights on a birding trip - incredible place in an incredible setting - I would recommend to anyone hoping to see a lot of wildlife and isnt looking to be spoiled with luxury. We spent a lot of time on the patio watching birds during the day (bird activity here was near-constant, both at feeders and in the forest). Quetzals visited regularly throughout the day. Lots of hummingbird activity at the feeders. The stars of the place are cacomistles that hang out all night long and are impossible to miss - we also saw tayra and olingo. Since the cabana is so isolated that does affect conveniences. Internet was not functioning while we were there, and the performance of the refrigerator varies. However there is cell service here so we had no problems ordering a couple meals from the lodge restaurant and getting picked up for checkout exactly when we wanted. The wood burning stove worked great. Kathryel was a great host, easy to communicate with and highly responsive.

This is the place for top feeling, not for top comfort. If you don't know how to make and keep fire running in fire place for long period, or you cant stand a bit moisty places where your clothes does not dry, then you wont get the feeling. But if you are ok with that, you will get one of the best nature experiences that I highly recommend. What more I recommend is to get to this cabin by yourselves in AWD car (Suzuki Jimny does the job perfectly). we went up and down every day. And it was extra attraction :) And yes, there will be variety of birds and animals at your door step and even roof for sure :)
