There's a large bath in the bathroom and an instant over-bath shower. 'How to use things' guide should be on the table when you arrive. PAST GUEST REVIEW "The view is awesome! We'll definitely stay again." - Rosie (May '18) Everything you told us before check in was spot on. Very comfortable. Great location." (Aug '19)
Wade was great with his communication, we arrived and had to find the lockbox after receiving the code. the living room bathroom and bedrooms were clean and tidy. the kitchen to initially look at was tidy. Unfortunately the microwave was rusty/dirty and unusable. The cooker/grill was dirty and we had to clean the food/dirt before we used it. Cutlery was dirty with food/hair stuck too them. The house was as if someone was still living there as there was lots of things in drawers. IT was as described as retro, and that is was, and in a lovely way bringing back memories of being round our grandparents houses The views were absolutely wonderful from the house. The house was spacious and comfortable and we enjoy staying. The house could do with a couple of upgrades to improve it which we have mentioned to the host. We love Barmouth and we enjoyed the stay
We loved the location and the views. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the cottage as we were out exploring from early morning to late evening, but it provided us with everything we needed and we had a perfectly comfortable stay.
The property was in a lovely location but it was a shame about all the notes, things not working and the rules, like use the water from the kettle to do the washing up, only eat in the kitchen, put the emersion heater on in the evening for a maximum of 2 hours and preferably after 9pm when its cheaper rate, wipe the bath and sink down every time you use it, people go on holiday to relax and not to worry about rules.
The home is cozy and inviting. It’s a short walking distance from town perfectly situated to have a look around nearby.
“....blessed with huge sea views, soaring mountains and a sense of unending space. The seaside resort of Barmouth, with its estuary, railway bridge and wide sands, is a great place to be based for adventures in the nearby hills or to medieval fortresses such as Harlech Castle.
The Rhinogs, in the southern part of Snowdonia, are ripe for exploration, their paths less trodden than those of the national park's more popular routes to the north."

*^* Spectacular seaviews and sunsets from the hotel restaurant, 200m from the house.
*^* Enjoy the tranquil nature-walk path to the beach: turn right out of the front door, left at the foot of the road, cross the main road, walk round the bend, look for the steps down to the sea. You can also walk along the beach into town.
*^* Tal y Don - best pub in Barmouth/Abermaw. Suntrap. Wifi. The Last Inn (on the far side of the town centre) is also good.
*^* Love the harbour.
*^* Lots of independent shops in Abermaw/Barmouth. Meat eaters have recommended David Jones the Butcher, most especially for his thick-cut pork sausages. His shop is at 6. St Annes Square, LL42 1DF.
Even more shopping choices in Machynlleth.

The celebrated beautiful Mawddach Estuary Walk starts just east of Barmouth town by crossing the spectacular railway bridge. This mostly flat and traffic free walk follows the south bank of the estuary for 9.5 miles to Dolgellau. http://www.mawddachtrail.co.uk/mawddach-trail.html for detailed info.
The Cambrian Coast Scenic Railway is a must for all lovers of coastal scenery drifting by through the windows of a country train route that Beeching didn't destroy.
"THE TRAINLINE" is now promoting Barmouth as one of "our top UK summer destinations". It's "a seaside town with a great scenic rail journey from Birmingham and the West Midlands. The area of Barmouth is often remarked upon for its natural beauty. After a visit in the 19th century, legendary poet William Wordsworth commented 'with a fine sea view in front, the mountains behind, the glorious estuary running eight miles inland, Barmouth can always hold its own against any rival'."
The Coast Scenic Railway is practical for visiting Harlech Castle (up a steep hill), Portmadog, Aberdyfi, Criccieth, or Machynlleth.
TIP: Plan your journey. Trains run only every 2 hours (appx) Mon-Sat, and just 3 a day on Sundays. Timetables at Information at Barmouth/Abermaw Station.
BEACHES - nearby ones are quiet. The town beach gets busy in the season. Swimming in the sea is good - only DON'T swim near the harbour, due to strong tides. Try fishing instead! - there's a supplies shop on the road into Barmouth from the house.
TIP: Turn right out of the house, right again at the main road, cross the road, go past the turn for the caravan site, and you come to the footpath to the nearest beach and its coffee van.
