We stayed for the whole month of March and had a lovely stay. The location is exactly what we wanted. You are a few hours drive from some amazing cities. Also, you will be positioned on a popular hiking trail that goes all the way around the canyon. Be aware that if you stay in the winter months or even early spring, you will need to supplement the electric heaters with a fire to stay warm, especially at night. The host will provide some firewood. (For one or two fires.) Firewood can be purchased at gas stations or nurseries, but it can become very costly. The internet was very fast as advertised but it can go out at times. Service provider issues, and only for a few hours. Overall we loved our stay, loved longs walks with Alf the dog, loved the wind storms cuddled near a nice little fire, and loved the nice bright sunny days hanging out next to the pool. My only suggestion would be to update some of the pictures. Thanks for the great memories.

Stunning Casita in an incredible location. Full of character and charm. The casita is simple and not luxurious but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed for a month in winter with our dogs. The casita is 5 minutes walk from the mountain trails, with stunning views across to Gibraltar and Morocco. The shower is hot, the bed is comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful. Nature is all around you, eagles, vultures and wild boar! Our host was responsive, friendly and discreet. Alfie the Finca dog is so sweet and stole our hearts, he was very gentle with our little dogs. We used the pool a few times as we were lucky to have temperatures well above 20•C, amazing for January! The fire is cosy and romantic, especially on rainy days. The 40minute walk into Casares is beautiful with well stocked shops. I would advise not to arrive in the dark the first time as the drive up the mountain track is not fun for a nervous driver. After a few journeys you feel more confident.

The pool was most incredible! It’s absolutely private, a total dream. The views are so beautiful! The little cabin was perfect and had everything we needed to be comfortable and cozy, enjoy the amazing views and relax. It was possible to keep our privacy even with the owner/ caretaker and another rental cabin right next door. We’d love to come back.

A lovely casita, when looking for a calm and relaxing holiday! The area is very quite in the middle of beautiful mountains and close to the sea.
