Very clean room in a house.. we had private entrance .. but if we wanted to lock the sliding door private entrance you would need to exit through the main house area. I did expect a bit more since it was labeled a lodge … but it is a house with rooms rented out. We could hear the host and there company talking in the kitchen thru the walls, and smell the food they were cooking in the kitchen…and in the morning the tv was on and it could be heard very well since the tv room was right next to us…there is indeed a fire pit across the street but it was grown over and no chairs or wood by it. The beach was nice.. and like I said..it was clean but it is an older house so it has older house smells…if that doesn’t bother you at all then it’s a perfect place for you.

We loved the place and Haines so much we decided to upgrade and book one more night. It was difficult to leave. Hannah is a great host, friendly, and responsive. The lodge is a perfect little getaway with a stunning view of the river and mountains. We’re traveling throughout Yukon and Alaska and this is most likely our favourite spot, yet!
