The cottage was built in 2019 and is a modern property with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms (shower on main floor and bath on second floor) with an open concept main floor living/dining/kitchen and another living space on the second level with great views of the Northumberland Strait. This property also has laundry, a huge deck, outdoor shower, swing set. The Lot Ness Cottage is a great retreat for groups up to 8 to relax, unwind, and get away from the everyday. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you should need, including a programmable coffee pot, single serve coffee drip, toaster, microwave, wine glasses (plastic and glass), seafood cracking tools and all the basics (dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans etc.). There is seating for 4 at the kitchen island and the dining room table is set for 8, with room for more. It is located on a large lot, on a quiet road and has direct access to the red sandy beach just across the street. The beach is fairly quiet with a lot of room to run around and walk for miles when the tide is out. Some beach toys can be found in the outdoor storage bin and you can use the outdoor shower to clean your feet or wash off the saltwater when you get back to the cottage. Relax on the large front deck equipped with a new BBQ, 6 high back sling chairs and 2 Adirondack chairs while the kids play on the swing set or run around on the grass. Or enjoy the view of the bridge and the gorgeous sunsets in the evening. Centrally located on the south shore with a 20 min drive to Summerside and 40 mins to Charlottetown or Cavendish - it is a great spot for day trips around the island. You're never too far from anywhere or anything you would like to do - Up West or Down East. If you wake up to a rainy day, you may still want to venture out to explore the island, but if you decide to stay around the cottage there are a variety of card games/board games, satellite TV and internet available for your use until the rain breaks and you walk to the beach. If you have never visited the east coast of Canada - you don't know what you are missing. The shores, the farmland, the people, the slower pace, its something you have to experience to appreciate and understand.
