Did you want to live like a lord of the castle and a noble lady? Then you have come to the right place in the Ritterstube! The old house is located under the ruins of Ulmen Castle and was completely renovated in 2021 and furnished in a very romantic way. There is space for 2-6 people on 100 square meters. The Ulmener Maar, a volcanic lake, is only 100 m away, where our second holiday home is located. An unforgettable vacation! Great for a romantic anniversary. Near Mosel and Nürburgring The Ritterstube is a very pretty half-timbered house, which is second to none. It stands above a vaulted cellar and the entrance can therefore only be reached via stairs. On the first floor there are two bedrooms with exquisite four-poster beds as well as a newly renovated bathroom in a country house style and of course: the knight's armor! A staircase (steep staircase!) Leads to the second floor, where you will find a fully equipped, light-flooded kitchen with every comfort and a fantastic panoramic view as well as a cozy living room with a sofa bed (box spring) for two more people. The two chimney figures, Kunigunde and Adalbert, watch over the house! Please be kind to both! It is a wonderfully romantic domicile for your honeymoon (or the anniversary, the silver wedding anniversary, a romantic weekend ...) There are costumes for children, because residents of a knight's room want to dress like princesses or knights. Ulmen offers countless wonderful views and is very centrally located in the Eifel. Directly on the road there is access to wonderful and rustic hiking and mountain bike trails or walking routes to the Ulmener Maar, a volcanic lake and of course: the ruins of the Ulmener Burg. The town center with small shops and restaurants are only 150 m away on foot. Nürburgring and Cochem on the Moselle are only 20 minutes away by car. The legendary Eltz Castle is 40 minutes away by car.

Mooie kamers en proper bij aankomst. Instructies waren heel duidelijk. Prachtige omgeving en zeer authentieke woonst. Een aanrader! Wij komen zeker nog eens terug.
We had so much fun staying here! The beds were so comfy, the bathroom was lovely, nice area for movies, an overall enchanting place. Sandra and Andrea’s were very good to us. Left us a nice note and even stopped by to see if we wanted books to read in English. It’s walking distance from everything you need and the castle above you is wonderful. I hope to come back one day!
Wir hatten ein tolles Wochenende in diesem wunderschönen Haus! Die Kinder waren auch begeistert und haben sich direkt das rote Zimmer geschnappt! Wir fühlten uns im Haus sehr heimisch und willkommen! Eine tolle Unterkunft, um die Vulkaneifel zu erkunden!
Die Ritterstube ist eine ideale Unterkunft für Familien. Besonders kleine Gäste (aber auch große) können sich in der liebevoll ausgestatteten Wohnung wie ein Ritter oder eine Prinzessin fühlen. Auch das Angebot an Spielen sowie an Filmen z.B. über Disney Plus laden zu gemeinsamen Aktivitäten ein. Dazu kommen die tolle Natur der Eifel und die immer hilfreiche und freundliche Art von Sandra und Andreas. Für uns hat all dies zu einem entspannten und rundum gelungenen Kurzurlaub beigetragen.
What a wonderful place to stay. You feel like you’re staying in a castle. We chose this location as we would be traveling around this area and it was centrally located to most of the places we wanted to visit. There were 5 adults staying here and the space worked perfectly. Even if our daughter’s husband would have been able to make the trip and there were 6. We still would have been quite comfortable. Sandra and Andreas went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. They even left some nice snacks and beverages for us upon our arrival. We arrived late in the evening as we traveled from Arizona and when we arrived Andreas and his son came over to see if they could help us with our luggage or anything. We would definitely stay here again should we travel back. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you for the great stay Sandra and Andreas! Ben and Michelle Tucson, Arizona

The Ritterstube is set back in the courtyard. This makes it very quiet - especially at night.
Directly above the knight's room are the remains of the Ulmen Castle.
A farm is directly opposite, complete with cows, guard dog (who doesn't come out) and tractors.
The house in the courtyard next door is part of the Ritterstube complex and will be converted into a "Bauernstube" in one to two years.
There are two parking spaces in the yard. More free parking spaces and charging stations for electric vehicles can be found just 50 m away at the town hall.
Bus line 500 runs every hour during the week to Cochem on the Moselle or via Daun to Gerolstein. Both Cochem and Gerolstein have train connections.
