What a wonderful off grid spot! Sunset Lake really lives up to the name, gorgeous sunsets almost every evening! The community beach was perfect for my kids and pet, and we had plenty of spaces for the parents to chill day and night. Not much service, but we loved games (clue!) and dvds (dodgeball!) they provided. Highly recommend for some nature and wholesome family time.

We had an amazing mid-September stay, making the cabin our home base as we made day trips to the Porcupine Mountains and surrounding areas. Sunset Lake lived up to its name with breathtaking sunsets and incredible lake breezes. The cabin is comfortable and cozy plus wonderfully decorated and well stocked. The entire site has lots of charm for travelers. The nearby cabins weren’t occupied during our stay, so we enjoyed the extra privacy and quiet. The host was super responsive and gave helpful, detailed instructions. We’ll consider staying again!

Quaint, rustic cabin in a beautiful setting. Access to lake dock, water kayaks, paddle boats, and fire pit makes it a great family setting. The lake view is to die for and this cabin has a master deck that overlooks it unobstructed. As described, it has no towels or linens and is a shared lot. Your cabin is private, but the yard/ docks/ parking area are all common areas. If you are outgoing, don’t mind the possibility of pets/noise, and love meeting new people, this is the place for you. If you are looking for something completely secluded, quiet and intimate, it might not be. The description was accurate and the rustic setting is what I long for, so I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I would love to come back and rent all the cabins for a family reunion sometime.
