ELLIE‘s home is absolutely stunning. We had the worst weather possible and it was still beautiful. Inside is very comfortable and accommodating for a larger group. We did get a brief moment of time to use the outside and that is also spacious and comfortable. There is a hot tub, that we did not use, but I know it was in good working order. We were met by the cleaning/maintenance woman, and she was delightful and extremely helpful! That was a really nice bonus! We also had a major problem that was 100% our fault and ELLIE still was gracious, responsive, and helpful. Everything worked out well, and life goes on!

Overall Ellie's place is a beautiful lakehouse overlooking a stunning bay. We enjoyed lounging on the private beach and it was plenty spacious for our group of 10. Although the place is advertised for up to 13 guests, we found the excessive rules around groups to be a bit of a damper on the trip. While the kitchen and bathrooms were generally clean and the beds seemed to have fresh linens, the floors were very dirty with sand, dirt, etc., and there were many cobwebs on the ceilings. The hot tub also didn't seem to be cleaned and the dishwasher didn't open all the way. Ellie was kind and responsive in offering to have a repair person out and provide a small refund to make up for it, but ultimately with those issues in addition to the cleaning rules at check out, we felt like the $280 cleaning fee was unfairly high and expected it to be cleaner. If these details were improved, I would certainly consider staying there again.

Ellie was a great communicator! Our group of 7 adults loved the outdoor sitting areas. Beds were quite comfortable. We canoed and kayaked. (Of note, renters should bring their own life jackets.) Some members of our party did have issues with their knees… Be aware there are steps from front entrance to the main floor as well as to the master suite. Overall, the lovely setting and convenient location to both Ludington and Ludington State Park made this an ideal place to gather!

This is a great place with amazing views, access to private beach and close to the state park. Very spacious as well as loaded with tons of activities to do. Great for family get together….
