I was assured that there was plenty of staff and that there was staff available at the property and we would get our food on order easily. On reaching we discovered the following: The property pictures were old. The property is not that well maintained at all. Toilets were dirty, had broken/old countertops, were full of bugs. Kitchen is not in an operational condition, it was dirty with broken cabinet doors, no fridge and no microwave. There were no utensils and only a gas. There was a lot of junk under the stairs in full view which was later hastily covered up with a makeshift curtain. We were a party of 5 and we were only given 3 towels, repeated requests for more were ignored. The staff is untrained and very slow to respond. Despite giving our dinner order at least 6 hours in advance, we were served with dinner at 11. Breakfast was ordered at night and was not served till 10. I would not recommend this place at all. It would be better to stay in a tent/pay more to stay at a hotel.

The cottage is a beautiful architecture, housing three large rooms (2 on one floor, 1 on lower floor) and good sized bathrooms and excellent views. There is a large living room and an adjoining kitchen wherein you can prepare a quick earl morning breakfast and/or tea if you don't want to order food (which is also an option) pros: 1. the vistas from the balcony and all three rooms are a sight for sore eyes. Greenery and tranquility till the eyes can see. reminds me of how old Shimla used to be. 2. the caretaker (mr. Ajit) is a great host and catered to all our requests with enthusiasm and a smile on his face. what a good lad! he even arranged the bonfire for us promptly, even though it rained out 2 of the 3 days we were there. 3. peaceful: being 45 mins away fr Shimla the place is quiet and offers great relaxation. cons: 1. the internet: absolutely useless. 2. no fridge: a shocking exclusion for a luxury property. 3. plumbing: unfortunately for us plumbing was in shambles. the property is due a maintenance so maybe things will change for good. 4. the support staff: lazy, noisey and borderline disrespectful towards the guests. they occupy the top floor and we're very loud while indulging in boozing, to the point where we had to request them to be quiet so that we can sleep. unacceptable. Mr. Jatin is good at communications and the booking process itself was very swift. I'd recommend the property for a stay with friends, just keep the cons in mind and be prepared appropriately.
