It was perfect for what we needed!

Rented the cabin for a weekend stay with a group of friends. The space was great for our group, equipped with lots of beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and space to socialize, eat, and play games. The cabin is located on a summer camp and we really enjoyed wandering the trails through the woods nearby and seeing the lake. Krista was easy to communicate with, answering all of our questions before we arrived. If you're looking for a place to stay and happy with a rustic setting rather than a brand-new, modern home, we would recommend the Lakeside Lodge! It was exactly what we expected from the description and perfect for our group. We hope to return if we do a trip like this again.

We stayed for a family get together for New Year's Eve, it was perfect for the event. Peaceful, accommodates to all our guests and the kitchen has everything we needed from the stove to the number of dishes they have at the cabin. We would do it again hopefully they have open dates in the summer.

I want to start out by saying that the hosts were really friendly and accommodating, but cleanliness was a major issue at the cabin and it has a strong musty smell. It’s very rough around the edges with some pretty major dirt and grim build up. Our group was willing to overlook a lot, until we found mouse poop in one of the beds. There also was an issue because they let our group know last minute that they didn’t have a enough pillows and blankets for us and had rearranged the bedroom to accommodate a different group. We also found out that there were no towels when we arrived. I did receive a partial refund for the bedding problem and then a majority refund for the cleanliness issue. This would be a great stay for about $100/night if they put in some time to do a thorough clean and some minor upgrades, like painting, stocking enough towels and bedding, and getting rid of the worst furniture.
