We had a great experience at Talia's place! She is a lovely, flexible and open minded person who gave us great tips about spots in and around Swanage. The place felt very cozy and was only 5 minutes away from the beach. In overall we really enjoyed our time at Talia's Airbnb & would definitely come back :)
a really enjoyable stay .Talia was a great host , great communication . the house was very clean and 5mn walk to the town centre and the beach . the room was small but very cosy . highly recommend if you want to visit Swanage .
Thank you for welcoming me in to your home, great location, slept well, made to feel very welcome.
Nature trails to Durlston Country Park and the Jurassic coastal walks are on our doorstep. Swanage train and bus station, shops, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets are all within easy reach on foot. Further West is the village of Langton Matravers with the trail to Dancing Ledge, and Worth Matravers with the trail to Winspit Quarry on the coast. Corfe Castle is 5 miles out of Swanage, and from there routes to other tantalising destinations such as The Blue Poole, Arne Nature Reserve, Wareham, Kimmeridge with its dinosaur museum, Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door. In the other direction, within a 15 minute drive in the other direction are beautiful beaches including Studland and the ferry over to Poole as well as boats to Brownsea Island.
Street parking only - it can get busy in the summer so you may need to make a short walk from the car.
Buses --- There are two main Purbeck Breezer bus routes serving Swanage – from Poole and from Bournemouth. The No. 40 bus to Poole and the No. 50 to Bournemouth are a convenient way to access the attractions and amenities of these larger towns on a direct, consistent, and often scenic route from Swanage. Alternatively, the Purbeck Breezer buses are a low-cost and pleasant way to travel to Swanage and the Isle of Purbeck for the day or a longer holiday allowing you to easily explore Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. There is also a seasonal (summer) bus, the No. 30, that runs to and from Weymouth. During peak season there is also a bus up to Durlston Country Park from the town centre.
Trains --- Picturesque steam train only, which runs from Swanage to Corfe Castle and back again. Our nearest national rail station is Wareham. If arriving by public transport on the train to Wareham you can either book a taxi to Swanage from there or wait for the no. 40 bus.
