The appartment was in a very poor condition. The doors to the toilet and the upper terrace could not close. The curtain in the bedroom was electronic and did not work, which meant the room was pitch black the entire stay. There was no toiletpapir when we arrived. Etc. Etc. The hole appartment needs a major renovation. And finally we got bed bugs from staying there. Most of the time nobody answered our calls. When they did they often seemed helpful but did not do much and did not live up to the agreements we made. Nice neighborhood though...
Bed bug infestation and apartment in need of maintenance ruined the trip. Positives: excellent location, excellent communication (although all from remote chat), easy check in with the app, the rooftop and general space was nice. Negatives: the back door to the rooftop wouldn’t close or lock so the apartment was always open there. The bathroom/toilet door also wouldn’t close or lock at all. No items such as toilet roll or tea towels meant we had to buy our own when entering. Broken sofa, broken cupboards, rusty bathroom. My wife had multiple bites over her body increasing throughout the trip - the last night she got up to feed our 6 month old and the bed was found to be crawling with multiple bed bugs and fresh blood splats confirming our fears. We have had to bin many items and now have to try and prevent an infestation when we get home. I have informed the staff so the airbnb will need full expert fumigation before letting out to anyone else.
The place is a bit dated now, when you walk in it seems OK, but when you check everything there are few things that are lacking. The cupboards underneath the sink in the kitchen are broken , the blind in one of the bedrooms is not working , the doors in bathroom and to the terrace can't close and there is a rust on tha bathtub, so in all I needs an update.
