Chris's house is beautiful - really clean and clearly loved, the attention to detail in everything makes it really special. It's also HUGE! Much bigger than we expected! The pool area is attractive and very private and the pool itself is big enough for a proper swim as well as benefitting from shade throughout the day. Chris is a very attentive and friendly host and we really appreciated her kind and helpful communications. Only one grumble (probably due to unfortunate timing on our part - there was filming taking place nearby) but the on-street parking was pretty problematic at times, it might be worth bearing in mind should you need easy access. L'Gharb itself is lovely with a couple of nice restaurants and a decent grocery shop. It's very much a 'real' village where people live and work rather than a touristy village so do be aware that this includes trucks and tractors passing by the house, and if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs as the church bells will tell you the time every 15 minutes day and night! We got used to it pretty quickly but never did figure out how to tell the time with the random clangs! It was all part of the charm. Thank you, Chris, for allowing us to be custodians of your beautiful home for a little while :-)

We had a really wonderful 2 weeks at Christine's farmhouse. Christine with a very thoughtful host, the farmhouse was extremely clean, very spacious and really comfortable. The pool area was absolutely lovely too and perfect for a relaxing break. Gharb is a lovely village with several bars and restaurants within walking distance of the house. It is also a great location for visiting many of the attractions in Gozo. We particularly enjoyed visiting the craft Village which is 5 minutes walk from the house and the boat trip at the inland sea.
