Fabulous stay with Janis in the self-contained apartment, perfect for college visits with our son. We also had dogs and appreciate her being accommodating for them since we were also up for a dog show in Springfield. Kitchen was fully stocked with pots and dishes, plates, glasses, etc, and as a coffee fiend, having both a coffee maker and a cafetiere was great. Loved having access to a good washer and dryer. One thing to clarify - the bedroom doesn’t have walls all the way to the ceiling so it’s more like a partition - this may mean there’s less privacy than might be expected should you bring along a teen who otherwise sleeps on the couch or extra bed in the den area. One other aspect to clarify is the apartment is part of a larger house where the family/owner uses the other part of the house beyond the shares utility room, and the upper floor over the apartment. We didn’t find that these were detrimental in any way, but thought it was worth mentioning.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Janis's place. The unit is spacious, sparkling clean, well equipped and super cozy. The in-unit laundry and spacious walk-in closets with carpets are really nice. The house is in a quiet location but has convenient access to grocery stores. Janis and her daughter Jessica are amazing. The communication was always good. When we had to be out of town for a few days, we asked Jessica for a favor to check on our cats and she kindly helped us and gave us updates about the cats. We are truly grateful. We would definitely recommend Janis's place to future guests!

Janis was a great host. Place was exactly like the listing. My partner and I felt right at home in the rental. The place had everything we needed. We would stay again in the future.

Janis was so delightful! and the area is BEAUTIFUL!!!! The house/apartment was clean, roomy, and comfortable. We were in the process of moving from California to Massachusetts, which is stressful. Janis made that part of the process quit easy and stress free. We checked in on 8/6/23 until well ... as anyone who has moved, everything was up in the air until the last paper is signed and the money paid. She was very accommodating with us. She didn't want us to worry about not having a place to live until we found a home. My husband and I were very grateful for her kindness. Other than our housing situation, Belchertown is small and quaint but close to CT and other major cities in MA. We were fortunate enough to be there when the fall was just starting and the leafs were in the process of changin colors. The AirBnB (house) is off a major street, but in the woods. If you or someone you know is considering a trip to MA, for whatever the reason, I HIGHLY recommended staying at this AirBnB.

I had a lovely time at Janis’s place. It was exactly what I needed – peaceful, quiet, but still close enough to go do other things. Excellent hiking nearby and I loved visiting with the horses.
